Too much to do - can you try to get it rearranged?
You should have said as I wouldn't have arranged to collect brochures during it - what time does it start and finish?

I'm not that bothered about it, I'll record it then watch the highlights later.

I'll be leaving work in about 5 mins so can get back and get started on all the tasks for tonight.

I also want to ring some of the local football leagues tonight or tomorrow to tell them I'm available to referee, so that I'm set up for when we get back from holiday.

Checked online for european car travel kit and the cheapest I can find is about £30, might as well get that sooner rather than later.

Hi hi carboots are good if your selling stuff that you dont want lots of money for... if its expensive stuff you may want it on ebay for a bit better cash ..... i dont know what time the footballs on :S eeeek xx

Hi, was just lurking but enjoyed reading your story - keep up the good work!

Just to let you know, if you both work over 16 hours (sounds like you will be) you can get the bulk of childcare (I think 80%) paid for through working tax credits.

May be worth knowing to give the in laws a break!

Thanks for that, sounds like something we should look into.

Paid £9.45 on B&Q today, leaves us with less than £50 to pay. At the end of the week I think we'll move our PAD to the next card in line and what for all our payments to B&Q to be credited then payoff the remaining balance early next week.

It will be nice to pay off the B&Q that hasn't been used for over 5 years!!!

Just made a cheeky phonecall to HSBC as my CC APR is 25.9%, I thought I'd ask if they could do anything with it, if I was never to use the card again (which is certainly the plan)

They have reduced the APR to 6.9% for 6 months, with the minimum payments staying the same. I think thats a bit of a result really.

It will go back up to 25.9% in 6 months, but every little helps and then maybe after a while I could ask again to reduce it.

I might be cheeky and ring the other credit card companies later when I get home and have all the details I'll need.

That's nice of them how did you put it because whenever I've tried they just say send a statement of affairs! Lol you must have a way with words ) x

I didn't even need to go through finances with them at all.

I just said I wasn't going to use the card again and wanted to pay it off as soon as I could, but that the high APR was hampering my efforts. I asked if there was anything they could do to help. I got transferred a couple of times, eventually to the UK and she just offered me 6.9% for 6 months.

I was very surprised as I have asked in the past for APR to be reduced and got nowhere.

I'll try Tesco and Barclays tonight I think
