And it is how long until the end of school term? If you ever had to employ some-one for childcare because planned free care did not work out, you would know it is virtually impossible to get anyone that quick for part-time and only the odd day.
What on earth are you wittering about.
I'm pointing out that if the job starts Monday, when doing her calculations she may have to factor in childcare costs when calculating her CTC claim - even if her child starts in Sept - she may have to factor TD days, and the small matter that her child may need some childcare for the first term - as most reception children start on part days (depending on birthdate this could be anything from a few weeks to a full term).
What on earth are you wittering about finding childcare for. That is down to her. If she can't actually get childcare but needs it to do the job, then clearly she can't do the job.
EDIT: And more to the point why are you vomitting over this womans thread? She wants advice not some whining mass-debator who wants to stalk me and argue with me on every thread. All over the place, from the popular culture to the propaganda system, there is constant pressure to make people feel that they are helpless, that the only role they can have is to ratify decisions and to consume.0 -

She has said full-time from September. She cannot get childcare (other than free) by Monday.
Neither is she going to be better off by 3-4K (you do know how to exagerate) - she was debating between 15 -18 hours = 3 hours per week at just over £6ph for 38 weeks, less tax, less ni, less future reduction to tax credits.
You are the one who claims everyone should take their maximum entitlement - the hours in her unknown circumstances could be important to her or it could just be she is adding something up wrong. Either way, I'm only offering the facts for her to check on entitledto or better still with tax credits office.
Stalk you to debate with you! How many threads have you had cross words with other contributors? How many of those have I directly entered into any form of discussion with you? Grow up!0 -
You kids! You've both been at the fizzy pop again, haven't you? Come on, the pair of you, it's well past your bed time and the grown-ups want to talk. Of you trot, up the wooden hill to bedfordshire.

3-4K better off than not working at all. Again forgetting it's you, and simple words broken down are best. Sorry for that
You are the one who claims everyone should take their maximum entitlement WHAT UTTER RUBBISH YOU TALK. SHOW ME WHERE I HAVE SAID PEOPLE SHOULD OR EVEN SHOULDN'T TAKE THEIR 'MAXIMUM ENTITLEMENT'- the hours in her unknown circumstances could be important to her or it could just be she is adding something up wrong. Either way, I'm only offering the facts for her to check on entitledto or better still with tax credits office.
I'VE ALREADY SUGGESTED SHE CHECK ENTITLED TO. GIVEN THEY CATER FOR EVERY CRAZY SCENARIO YOU ARE COMING UP WITH, FANTASY CHILDCARE AND ALL. YOU ARE BEING MEANINGLESS...AGAIN.

HOW PATHETIC, THE WOMAN WANTS ADVICE AND YOU ARE ATTEMPTING (AND FAILING) TO NITPICK OVER THE FACT I SUGGEST SHE FACTORS IN CHILDCARE COSTS WHEN DOING HER CALCULATION OF WHETHER SHE WILL BE WORSE OFF OR NOT. AND HERE YOU ARE WITTERING ON ABOUT NOTHINGNESS.
If she can't find childcare to do the job, then OBVIOUSLY the thread is closed because she can't do the job.
It's not rocket science.
I wasn't advising her on finding childcare, as she was asking "will I be worse off" not "can someone find me a childminder by Monday please.

haha, you're right though, past my bedtime.
No fizzy pop for me though:rotfl::rotfl:All over the place, from the popular culture to the propaganda system, there is constant pressure to make people feel that they are helpless, that the only role they can have is to ratify decisions and to consume.0 -
Deepmistrust you simply argue with anyone and everyone as your profile clearly shows.
I simply pointed out there could be a reason why she did not want the hours (and had pointed her to entitledto), then off you witter again. Keep wittering.
Wee Willy Harris, you will get used to him throwing his toys out of the pram everytime someone is not 100% in agreement.
For OP. Only you have ideas of your incomes. Use entitledto.com to work out the answers and double check with tax credits.0 -

With respect, and taking no sides, one person can't have an argument.0 -
Well I've helped the OP as much as I can on the information given, as I'm sure everyone else has.
Goodnight WWH and DM.0 -

You incessant whining and barking up my heels, will not disguise the fact, that I have suggested TO HER that she MAY need to factor in some childcare costs when doing her calculations. Now whine away about how you think I'm argumentative, whilst ironically, continually arguing with me :rotfl:
Now, in simpleton speak, it's up to her if she does or doesn't do that. She is not under orders to, she can merely think "ah yes, so and so doesn't actually start full time until late september (or even nearer or after Xmas) I need childcare from Monday which will cost £x amount, and there are x amount of TD days remaining this tax year.
Or she can not do that if she thinks she can cover the days by other means. All over the place, from the popular culture to the propaganda system, there is constant pressure to make people feel that they are helpless, that the only role they can have is to ratify decisions and to consume.0
