    Let's think....

You're having a go at us for discussing the disgusting tactics of a company who preys on the elderly and the infirm to sell them 'healthcare' equipment (where only one item is needed, pressure is made to complete on the spot or to take extra items on consecutive visits) Examples are given on RT, such as the elderly actress forced to say no SIXTEEN times in 2 hours and who is treated like this by a Virgo 'sales representative" (hereafter to be known as a rip-off merchant - think you'll find this ISN'T slander/libel as it has already been proven by RT)

Your brother works for this company, and instead of saying something to his superiors or TS/RT about their despicable behaviour (or going undercover to prove it) he has been doing what the other rip-off merchants have; harassing elderly people IN THEIR OWN HOMES (with some not even in their right mind/medically well enough to stop the harassment without a sale) Again, I'm guessing this was the type of person sold to; as if it was attempted with, say, children or grandchildren a majority of dsales would not have completed.

Instead of speaking out, your brother CHOSE to continue working for a company that artificially inflates prices to con people out of their money. Yup, 2 people got refunds, but what about the other 300 who complained to TS and the other god knows how many disgruntled customers?

Your brother could have done something to stop this expolitation, but he DIDNT. He allowed himself to carry on working in a job conning people out of their money for equipment they didn't even need.

Had he the balls to stand up and say something, he'd have been fired, but he would not have lost the respect, not only of people who barely know him, but of the people he lives near and probably his own family. Who'd want to live near someone who cons old people?

Also, it's your brother's fault for making his address and number easily accessible online, not others for finding it. You can try and sugarcoat his !!!! all you like but the point is he is still a lying, conniving con-artist who deserves the abuse. He could have dome something but chose not to, therefore he is as tarnished as the others.

If anyone is owed money by ABM Mobility I suggest they get in contact with the Insolvency Service as ABM Mobility has made a request to be dissolved as a company.

You can fill out a complaints form online here...

Amarjit Gill is the sole director of ABM Mobility and there is no Company Secretary, making Mr. Gill the only officer of the company (this has been legal since the Companies Act 2006). His date of birth is 16/09/1961. According to www.researcha.co.uk he was the director of two companies (now dissolved) and director of one company being dissolved.

Unfortunately, I cannot publish Amarjit Gill's address here (site rules do now allow), but his address is easily obtained from Companies House records for just £1 (just get current appointment report for ABM Mobility).

Mrs Ranjit Gill is the sole director of Virgo Healthcare. Her date of birth is 20/10/1967. She lives at the same address as Amarjit Gill, so the presumption is that she is Amarjit Gill's wife.

I think it could probably also be assumed that the reason Amarjit Gill closed down ABM Mobility and set up Virgo Healthcare in his wife's name is because of the injunction obtained by Trading Standards against both ABM Mobility and Amarjit Gill.

According to the Watchdog programme, Amarjit Gill is the man behind Virgo Healthcare even though he is NOT an officer of the company.

Once again, if you want to report Mr. Gill for acting in defiance of the injunction you can report him here...

  • I would like to thank everyone who has provided information and support regarding these scummy dregs of society.

Sadly, my Grandmother was a victim of these 'people' and we are trying to do everything we can to get her money back and see some justice.

Routhy, you can defend all you like but nothing you say can bring back my Grandmother's confidence and trust in people. She no longer feels secure in her own home. Instead of being concerned about these scum getting their name's tarnished and someone getting hold of their details, how about showing some remorse for those who have lost faith in today's society and will no longer be able to enjoy life without looking over their shoulders for fraudsters and worrying over who is genuine.

I think I can honestly say that home is no longer where the heart is. Home is just another venue for disgusting people to prey on the innocent.

    @Cali_Selina

People, such as Routhy, only care about themselves. They simply have no understanding of the hurt done to elderly victims by companies such as Virgo Healthcare.

If Routhy came on here expressing concern for victims (and not just himself) I would have been very willing to understand his own plight as he does not seem to be directly involved with the company. But it is clear that Routhy just does not want to listen to anyone but himself.

In August last year, I made a report to Trading Standards about a similar, but unconnected company. I lost no money but was willing, when Trading Standards asked me, to attend both civil, and criminal trials as a prosecution witness.

Sadly, the case fell apart because the only people that had lost money were people least able to speak up in court, the old, the inform, the confused etc. Unfortunately, that is why companies like Virgo Healthcare continue to get away with what they do.

If you need any help getting your money back, please contact me and I will do what I can to help, though it seems that Trading Standards and the Police are well onto the case now. So please do contact them. You can contact Trading Standards on 08454 040506 or PC Shealagh Ensor 0345 123 3333.

What the above poster says is so true. These companies count on the fact that elderly people are too afraid, too ill, or just cannot face the protracted fight to get their money back. The small number they do refund is simply looked on as a business expense. After a few years, when their bad reputation precedes them, and they have debts and face investigation, they close and reopen under another name.

This is one area where the law needs a massive overhaul and much more stringent regulation is urgently required.
