Could you consider running your own DMP? It is not as hard as it sounds just a thought. I sound a bit of a nutter for recommending own DMPs but it is just because it is a lot easier than people think.
I am not very good at knowing CCCS way of working etc as they couldn't help me they wanted me to sell my house to settle my debts, which I wasn't up for. But I am sure someone with better knowledge maybe more help to you.0 -
Thanks Ex-rayday, yes I would consider running my own DMP. I am afraid that they would want me to sell our house and we do have quite a bit of equity in it but houses are not selling very well in our area and the prices have dropped a lot.
We have shedloads of debt to 11 creditors but not much left over after priority debts have been paid and I am worrying that what we are able to offer each of them will be peanuts compared to what the minimum payments should be.
I have robbed Peter, Paul, Tom, !!!!!! & Harry to try and keep us going but have ended up in a far worse position by doing so hence addmitting defeat and trying to sort the mess out.
Thanks again for your advice and if CCCS cannot help us then I will certainly look into setting up my own DMPDebt Free 1st March 2017

I think our DFD would be about 19 years ish, it is a long time, but it could be worth a bash and then sell if you really have to rather than selling and regretting. Touch wood none of my creditors have asked me to sell and there is only Lloyds left with original creditor and they are saying they are referring over to a DCA soon. There just comes a point when you can't rob peter anymore and as awful as our debts seem I bet there are others in a worse position.
My mum did a DMP she only had about 3 years left on her mortgage, she is now mortgage free and still has a large unsecured loan 17k which was with a company connected with her mortgage company and even they haven't asked her to sell or remortgage her property but I guess we never know what they will do until the do it! Just take the fight one battle at a time.0 -
Yes, thanks again Ex-rayday. You have put my mind at rest somewhat, it's early days for us so I panic at the slightest thing and then blow everything out of proportion fearing the worst possible outcome with everything:o

Hi Guys
i don't think that any creditor would "ask" you to sell your house, they may after a fairly long period "try" to make you but it is a long protracted business and I understand from other threads a really unusual occurrence as the courts are trying very hard to keep the eviction numbers down, and after all this is unsecured debt, different matter if it was your mortgage that you couldn't pay. Hope this cheers you up!More than Two Years in

After 10 months of payments and some backwards and forwards nonsense between Nationwide and their in house KPR... they have decided to take me to court  2 cards (one mine and one for my OH - total bout 5.5k) - OH has had her papers already, acknowledged and returned.
anyone any experience with Nationwide and the court process? - don't mind a CCJ and hoping the court will see sense and see that I have been sticking to my reasonable plan.
would like to avoid a charging order if possible - did not to CCA as the card was quite recent (last 2 years).
any advice on who I might complain to within Nationwide as they have hardly made an effort to work with me, lady today suggested I borrow money off family - told her that I was not sure that they were allowed to out pressure on debtors to borrow more!;)0 -
They are not allowed to get you to borrow money it is in the guidelines do you have a copy of those?0

You have probably seen this but I would have a good look through it.

Well, after a years' battle with Sainsburys Visa, I got my statement today and they have reduced interest to 0%!!!!
Even after the 'snotogram' I got last week from them! I don't know what's happened to bring this about, but the estimated interest for next month is 0% as well!! They were really worrying me, because that debt would have kept the whole DMP going on for at least 6 more months at the rate of interest they were charging (£38 against a payment of £57), so happy days, for now at least!
