Was this a new card you took an account with? Didnt they want you to run up a debt with them and then struggle to pay it back over time? Arent you going to do just that now? Lets hope they let you pay it back at that low0% rate they tempt people with.
Having successfully struggled to meet all payments so far
I am beginning to think that I should pay a token amount for a few months before setting up the DMP maybe some others can comment on this>
Im not sure how to take your response. Are you really as much of a !!!! as you seem ?
All my payments for everything are up to date and my DMP hasnt started yet. We are making up our shortfall with overtime and having some left over.
You obviously know far more about it all than I do and I wish you every luck in your new venture

Hi All....One of our debts has been passed to Moorcroft Debt Recovery,we have been on a DMP for 8 months now...just wondering if anyone else has had any dealings with them,
Many Thanks For Your Time And Help
Max.
Umm, there are some horror stories for Moorcroft, and when Nationwide and another passed over to them, they weren't particularly nice when I spoke to them on the phone. However, it's gone quiet now and they seem 'happy' at the moment with what they're getting.DMP mutual support thread No: 2430 -
Hello all
Just a quick update.
I had a letter from another of my creditors today - Vanquis- to say they accept my offer and they won't add on any more charges for the next 12 months. They'll probably do a review then I expect.
I'm just waiting to see what the rest say
I've started a file to keep all the letters I get from them which is the only time I've ever been organised with such matters :rotfl:
Hope everyon's OK.DMP member no 390

Hi everyone
Thanks for all the advice......my token payments are making their way to my creditors, I credited all of them with £5 via debitcard and informed them in the original letter (that I had made a credit payment )informing them of my intention to do a DMP. I have done my SOA for National Debtline.
Not much to report apart from feeling calmer......my minimum payment dates used to fall at different times throughout the month so I never really had a worryfree couple of days before.
Good luck to all of you:beer:0 -
great start Tweet, they have to give you some time to sort out a DMP. Hopefully it will all run smoothly from here, as an aside, I would live the token months as if you were on the DMP payment, a wee practice run so to speak, can't hurt and let's you test your budget, if you haven't really done one before (and who has here?) it sometimes needs a wee tweek or two, this is the time to get it right.
good luck

Sent my first payment off to CCCS by Transcash yesterday. I called them today because I'm receiving loads of telephone calls from Vanquis, they advised that I make a formal complaint. I've set up my Direct Debit to go out on the 10th of each month, as I get paid fornightly. They were really helpful and said If any month i won't get paid in time, to contact them and they'll collect the money on 17th instead. i have to admit i was quite worried about paying on time each month, because of the way I get paid, since right now I haven't got an emergancy fund.0

Hello all
I've started a file to keep all the letters I get from them which is the only time I've ever been organised with such matters :rotfl:
Hope everyon's OK.
This is most important! You need to keep all and everything connected to your DMP. You might find you need to refer to/quote something either now or further down the line. Facts, figures and dates are your ammunition.
You will probably find you are sinking in paperwork up to your neck.
But maybe when all this is over you could use it all as a free version of wallpaper :rotfl:(and a timely reminder never to return to the 'debt culture' again.)
Wish you all the best.

Well I complained to Lloyds who didn't uphold my complaint however they are not going to charge interest, will pass it eventually over to a DCA who won't charge interest. Quite a good letter, they tell me they are right and yet do everything I asked, I seriously do hope they pass it over now as to be Lloyds free would be fine by me!
Oh and the bank account that got passed over to a DCA who demanded payment and offered to send some lovely people round, immediately accepted payment as soon as I offered it so its on the up a bit really. Don't feel so down about things now.
Its quite an achievement to think all the time I was on a DMP with Lloyds (about 5 years) I never paid any interest or charges * insert smug face in Lloyds direction and beating the system no insult intended to you lovely people.0 -
Hello Everyone, hope that you are all o.k.
I have had an email from the CCCS to say that they can't reconcile my OH's self assessment to the amount that I have entered on the debt remedy budget sheet. This is because he hardly earned any money last year but has done better this year. He is a gardener and my worry is that once the weather gets worse work will dry up and we will have no income from his business. He is trying to find alternative work for the winter but is this going to stop me from going onto a DMP?
I'm worried that we will have to go BR and this will mean losing our home. Any thoughts would be gratefully received
