Fred - Just remembered you can also make a standing order payment to the CCCS while your hubby's bank details get changed at work if needed and then start your DD with them. CCCS pay creditors on the same day of each month the 26th if I remember correctly.0

To set up my Smartsaver savings account I just gave them a ring and they did it over the phone, which is possible since they already have your details and ID checks are done electronically (I think...)DFW'er - Lightbulb moment : 31st July 2009 - £18,499
28th October 2019 - £13,505 - 27% paid off.

Quick question about F&Fs, I know this is the wrong section.
If I were to offer 75% + to creditors, what is the likelyhood of them accepting across the board?DMP mutual support thread No: 2430 -

From what I remember, I opened mine online, and they said they'd come back to me. The letter came a few days later with all the login detail etc.DMP mutual support thread No: 2430 -

Bit fishy then? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
(Apologies SOTR - sure you will get sorted soon.) And one day when all this set-up stress has gone, you'll find yourself laughing at little things again. Promise!

Hey Ian!
Think they would snatch your hand off! (But DON'T go there first - you've got to do the dance initially.)
Was really chuffed and delighted with your recent post re: partner etc.etc. You know I'm a softy so it's a great big AAW!
from me!!!
Bit pushed for time now, but will try and PM you tomorrow if that helps.
(Still twitchy and neurotic (think Peter Sellars as Inspecter Clousea) about creditors reading these boards.

Don't be sorry - made me laugh too :rotfl::rotfl: (I was just trying not to use profanity............trust me what I type is much more reserved that what I am thinking)
On a good note, Credit Union allow you to open 'thrift accounts' - saving and being able to withdraw with no notice but no card so no spontaneous purchases, which will be a good discipline!0 -
Hi everyone!
For all sorts of reasons, it's been way too long since I last visited the forums.
I've been on my DMP with the CCCS for almost four years. Apart from some relatively "minor aggro" from a couple of creditors, it has gone very well. And it's a relief to see the debt shrinking - and a couple of creditors will be paid off by the end of the year so more will go to other creditors.
Though I've had periods of being really fed up with the whole "debt thing", life on the DMP hasn't been too bad - and I can really see the light at the end of the tunnel now and should be debt free in about 15 months.
I've still been selling stuff but must get back to participating in some of the great challenges on here!
Anyway, thought I'd say hello and look forward to being back on MSE/DFW!
:j:jDebt Jan 2008: £45,566. *** June 2013: DEBT FREE! ***
Paid back just under £50,000 due to some interest added.
Dealt with my debt through a Step Change (CCCS) DMP.

Well done Jes,
Our debt is a similiar amount to your's and we are in the process of setting up DMP if only we could get business bank account sorted out............about to be turned down for one, of that I am almost certain.
Without business acccount - no business
Today is a BAD day0 -
Well, nothing much to report really. One of our debts passed to BLS Collections, they've been great to deal with and have accepted the plan etc without any problem.
On other news - I had a bottle of moisturiser with a pump top, it stopped pumping a while ago and seemed to be emptybut really it was because the tube wouldn't reach the bits that were left. I hacked the top off the bottle with a kitchen knife, pushed on a lid from a different bottle and stick my finger in every morning when I need it. How long has this lasted I hear you ask......?! SEVEN weeks, after it being 'empty'. Bonus :T
