quiet for me too! had payplan 2nd year review and managed to squeeze another £20 per month towards debts! - life is so much easier without the worry and I would even argue my standard of living has increased because of that. Keep on paying...0

As it's been quiet on here I assume all is well with everyone!
All quiet on my front, though I did get a letter from Vanquis Bank yesterday asking me to apply for their credit card! Suffice to say I won't be.... at least it made me giggle.
Spooky wasn't it? Thought you'd all won the lottery, set your families up for life then gone to some swish, sun-kissed island to drink pina coladas on the beach.:D:D
And where are they coming from? I just cannot believe the credit invitations that still drop through the letterbox.
Glad all goes well with you.

That's so good to hear grantalien. :T
You have had a bit of a rough ride but have come through unbowed.
Thank you for your always expert advice re: courts. Thankfully never been in that position but your insight has been priceless.

A quick update on my F + F's. Still keeping the cards close to my chest as this whole process is much more involved and difficult than I first imagined.
Neverless, happy to say I've settled (in principle) with two out of three creditors. We're looking around the 50% mark.
Will of course post full details when all is settled. In the meantime, still living on the DMP budget. So beans on toast anyone?

good luck scared and alone, once all the paperwork is sent back and you've started the process it feels like a weight has been lifted!
My DMP is going ok. still having trouble with getting a few creditors to stop interest so going to send a letter next week to those companies. Worth another shot to get the debts down surely, because at the moment those particular ones are still going up & up because payments aren't covering the interest never mind any of the debt!

Hey
This is my fourth month on a DMP and it's going well so far.
Have reduced debt by 750 so looking at it all being paid off by April 2012.
Im with Stamford Financial who have been absolutly fantastic so far and have had alot to deal with considering the horrendous hassle i was getting from Cheque Centre at the beginning!
I have to say, its a weight lifted from my shoulders and as long as i am able to pay to get to placement (student nurse) and bills and food im happy.....
I also realise that i don't have as much debt as alot of people on this forum but if i hadn't done something about it when i did i would maybe have headed into a black hole.
I would also like it to be paid by the time i finish my nursing degree (2013) so that i can (hopefully) work for a couple of years then save up quite a bit to go and do a postgrad/MA down in London..which is 9 grand a year sooooo i would rather not be dragging debts along with me
Although, i realise this is all in a world where anything could go belly up at any moment....have to be realistic. lolTotal debts = [STRIKE]£3116[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]2216[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£2066[/STRIKE][STRIKE]£1916[/STRIKE][STRIKE]£1766[/STRIKE][STRIKE]£1616[/STRIKE][STRIKE]£1466[/STRIKE][STRIKE]£1316[/STRIKE][STRIKE]£1166[/STRIKE][STRIKE]£1016[/STRIKE]£866
DMP £150 each month
Total paid off so far £2150

scared and alone - You may be scared but you sure as h*ll aren't alone here!
Every single one of us without fail, has been through the awful moments you're experiencing now, yet we've come through to better times. It will be the same for you, trust me
Your post opened up my own personal black hole, and I think it's good for those who are more experienced to sometimes look back and remember the sick fear etc, etc you are feeling now.
But hey, (wash your mouth out with soap and water!!!) you are NOT invading. This is the place to be for help, advice or just to keep in touch with others in the same position as yourself.
We're all at different stages of our DMP, and some are better able to advise on specific areas, but like you we all started with nothing.
So, welcome - do feel free to post and ask. And one day believe it or not, you will be able to help someone in the same position that you are in now
