Hi, everyone. Just checking in. Hope you're all doing OK and I couldn't agree more about the costs of petrol and food at the moment. My budgeted amount doesn't seem to go far.

Can I get a DMP number for the board, please?

Hi all. I have made two payments to Payplan DMP. Due to make a third next week. Had a few defaults but know it's par for the course. I checked Justabank today and M&S have accepted plan. However MBNA have rejected it. I owe approx £350 to them, my total debt is £19800. They are the smallest amount out of 6 creditors. What next? Just carry on paying and hope they come around eventually?
Second and final LBM 01/01/11 Nearly got there but fell of wagon. HAVE to do it this time

Squirrel, even if they reject it, carry on paying as you'll soon see they are happy to take your money.

I'm in the same position - £2k overdraft, I pay £11 a month on my DMP to it then they charge me £45 for being over my overdraft which is a direct result of their charges

With regards to Apax taking over my Lloyds overdraft, which stands at (£2,967.45) as per previous post and got no replies by the way! :D Not hating!!:rotfl:

Anyhoo! had to send them my income and expenditure, posted 4th/03, though I would end up getting lots of hassle (self managing my DMP, since May of last year! BEEN ON DMP SINCE SEPT '07).

Arrived home last evening and a letter was waiting basically saying that they accept my payment (same as I was paying to Lloyds (£56.11, so don't understand why Lloyds sold it on, but maybe this will be a blessing!). Had to ring them up because their method of payments were outlined as D/D, credit cards, (being on MSE know that to pay them this way is wrong, i.e. taking more than they should etc) the gentleman I spoke to was very nice and changed by payment date to suit me (they wanted payment before pay day for me), also gave me their account and sort code to set up a Standing Order.

Just want to say, all the thoughts rolling around in my head, i.e. they will be difficult, will question items on I&E etc, didn't come near! so upwards and forwards. I now can only wish that Lloyds move my credit card debt over to them as still after almost 4 years of paying back this credit card debt still nowhere near paying off as they just keep adding interest, upon interest. I'm paying £98 per month and only £30 odd comes off the actual amount the rest is interest . No amount of letter writing seems to work!!!!!

All other creditors are on board and have been great thus far! hoping for the duration acceptance of my payments. Looking forward to finishing Norther Rock loan next April (biggest, payment out £251), thereon after paying more to all others after that month. If, God willing I can keep chipping like this, will be debt free in late 2013 from an original debt of £64K in 2007, I think not badly done.

So, those starting, keep up the good fight, sometime we are more scared of our thoughts than what is actual...those in middle, also those looking nearer the finish of the looooooooooongggggg! tunnel like me, WE CAN AND WILL get to the other side. Good luck and take care all!

You could try ringing them(!) but it took around 6 months of them adding charges and interest to my OD for them to finally accept and sell the debt onto a DCA.
