Hi, everyone
Am trying to organise myself a bit and sort out paperwork this weekend, so I'm off to Staples a bit later. Still waiting to hear from most people but Santander have sent me a default notice on an OD of about £440.
Chin up, eh?
Sxx
Santander have defaulted us too (on a loan) but accepted the DMP payments.
Hope you have a good weekend x0 -
I was defaulted TWICE yesterday by Coop Bank for two overdrafts totally about £500! Bring it on I say!Second and final LBM 01/01/11 Nearly got there but fell of wagon. HAVE to do it this time :mad:0

It's Saturday so time for more letters
Additions are now telling us that our payments are arriving late, this is after 6 months on the dmp, and they are going to start charging us late payment fee
The reason behind is, this because they are saying that the payment agreement states the payment is every 28 days not every month.
Been on to them this morning and as usual them say there is nothing them can do that's what the agreement states.
Will have to phone CCCS on Monday to see what advise they have to give.

Hello everyone,
new to all this
started dmp with cccs this month and letters are starting to bombard us..
i have 10 creditors of which 6 are directly or indirectly barclays..
two letters yesterday saying they would accept payments (good start) but want some money before the dmp start dates. (should i pay????)
then today another two, one saying no and the other is a default notice..
the default notice looks very offfical (and a bit worring)
do i need to contact them or do i let cccs do all the leg work (will i just get in the way?)
thanks in advance.0 -

If you do a search of this forum you will find answers to all your questions and a lot more! CCCS will do most of the leg work but I liked to communicate with my creditors as well- good luck.

You want to pay them token payments of £1, instead of your usual monthly payment to them, until the DMP starts. If you happen to speak to them on the phone, DO NOT give them any extra money over the phone, explain you're on a DMP with 'insert name here' and give them a ref number if you have one, and leave it at that.
Oh, and they can be quite persuasive and rude on the phone, or they maybe lovely and understanding.DMP mutual support thread No: 2430 -
Getting started - half the letters to creditors have now been written and posted.
I have gone through our budget and tried to get OH to understand that random spends are not going to be possible. I have tried to allow enough in the budget for a few treats so he doesn't go off the rails and have not insisted (yet!) that he quit the ciggies - although I have sent off for the NHS quit kit and free week's worth of patches. I think he is going to be the sticking point but he will have to suck it up.:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(

Have you tried the snowball thing on here? Or the demotivator?
Actually, I think they're both the same thing!

Hi everyone,
I posted a thread on Debt-Free and was told to head over here.
My thread is here - clicky.
I'm glad that i called CCCS as I know we can't continue living so close to the edge anymore and that I really need help.
This whole situation is quite overwhelming. I seem to spend every minute thinking about money and everything in my life now seems to revolve around it (or lack of it).
Did you feel guilty that you've let your finances get in such a state?
If we get put on a dmp will this change?
Was it a relief to have someone else helping?
I have about a million questions but I'm finding it hard to put them in to words. So any words of wisdom would be aprecciated.
