I've just had to pay out to get my car through its MOT and thats left me with no money to pay Payplan on the 1st. I've been trying to contact them today but have been constantly on hold so not been able to talk to anyone.
My payplan has been going for over a year and i don't have any trouble with any of the creditors anymore, i am concerned that not being able to pay this month will cause numerous problems but i cant see how i've got any other choice.
I believe it has been done, as long as it's a one off. Have you tried sending them an e-mail from the justabank website (or from your own e-mail account)? You normally get a quick reply using that.DMP mutual support thread No: 2430 -

Is there a particular form I can use for this? or should I just address the letter to the court or any particular department.
Thanks in advance
I have been paying £29 a month for last 12 months and they have got a ccj for £120 per month on a balance of £2400  - Nationwide really are not acting reasonably!
You may find something in the factsheets part here? http://www.nationaldebtline.co.uk/england_wales/debt_advice.php#3DMP mutual support thread No: 2430 -

Yes Ian, i've sent them a message asking for someone to ring me, hopefully i'll be able to sort something out tomorrow. Thanks0

thanks but not here yet - I requested a redetermination with 16 days of the original judgement. I was advised to send in my defence prior to the redetermination so the judge has a chance to look it over.
I have drafted a letter but wondered if there was an official form - not sure there is at the stage I am at and will ask that my letter and income/exp be added to the case notes.
Thanks0 -
I can't help you, all I found was this on PayPlan.

Thanks Ian
I have a friend who was a solicitor - he has been very useful to have onboard - the word "reasonable" seems to be the key when dealing with judgements etc... Good luck to anyone else who happens to fall down this road, its something I expected but was hopeful it might not go this far! - STILL in a better position than I was 12 months ago.. no longer worrying about how I was going to feed the family0 -
Well we're three months down the line and still in limbo. Scary letters and now a scary sounding message left on the answer machine from Buchanan Clark & wells the debt collection agency for Post Office. It sounded automated, would that be standard?
I had sent them a letter giving our Payplan details & SOA which they should have received today (recorded) but obviously they are not going to give in and are succeeding in scaring me.
On the other hhand we havent had anything much from Nat west and yes that is scaring me too!! What are they playing at as haven't even acknowledged our DMP, I need to toughen up don't I as get the feeling this is just the beginning of a very bumpy ride.DMP mutual support member 3970 -
Hi, i have been umming and ahhing over doin a dmp over the last few months and today I contacted payplan and have an interview with them tomorrow at 12.
Basically I have approx £33K of unsecured debts made up fro 2 loans with santander, 3 od with santander 2 x barclaycards mbna and 2 store cards. I spoke with others on the DFW site who advised me to try to sell things etc and quidco and use the funds to repay bits and benefit from the snowball calculator before plunging into a dmp. I have tried to do this and in fact my dh and I have made £400 from carboots, £150 from ebay and I have £96 in quidco (although have not received all of this as yet) the issue has been that although we have had this extra money we have had emergencies happen and so we have still not paid anything off (both cars broke down and basically used all of the money we made).
I have been off work with anxiety and panic attacks due to our financial issues and am finding that this is not easing as I am constantly worryin how I will make ends meet and makin sure i dont miss a mortgage payment.
In the end DH saw how ill it was making me and suggested we bite the bullet and look into a DMP.
Today I have opened another account with Co-op and as i said at the start of this post, I have an interview with Payplan tomorrow. I am worried however as I do not know what to expect over the coming weeks. Could I get ccjs??, is it straight forward? will I ever get credit again (not that I necessarily want it)?
Another thing worrying me is that i work for santander could they refuse a dmp and take the money straight from my wages. I am so confused and still dont know if by doing this could I make my situation worse.
Please can anyone advise :undecidedLBM 23/08/2010

To all those New Travellers down the road of DEbt freedom.. stick by yoru guns. By the fact yoru here is testiment you are seeking to take charge of yoru debts and if you are on a DMP, then again, you realise things have to be done.
Stick by your guns, DONOT allow yourself to be bullies by callers asking for "just a small token payment", or people saying "We cannot hold this off for more than a few days unless you can make a payment of £XXX ... and I can take a credit card over the phone" !!!
Some even tried to persuade us to borrow of friends / familys or get someone to use their credit card to make payments. !!
They will hound you, They will not come knocking dispite the threat.
if you can, return their calls, explain they cannot have what you donot have ... Tell them your seeking advice / or that your on a DMP, Give them your DMP Number and tell them which company are representing you and thank them for their call.
Try to get your contact numbers removed from their databases. if you recieve calls at silly times day or night, report them. There are lots of threads about complaining to the Ombusdman.
Finally, if your feeling Down, or on a high .. Post on the board. There is no such thing as a silly question.
Were all travelling down the same road. Personally, well be still travelling when many of you have reached your goal when others will have a little further to go.
