My daughter is mad about horses - so much so that she even did a degree in Equine Studies - at Aberystwyth.

My family's the same. The important thing is that you were there and always made up for it. Ok?

So sorry to hear that pixiechick:(.
    Not fair at all that.

My dad's 2 brother's, one older than himself and one younger (the other younger one died a few years ago) the 2 have not at all bothered to ask on how my dad is, and dad use to be the one working for them to get them to uni when he was living at home with his parents as a young child.
    So sad indeed.

    There's nothing stranger than families!!

The really annoying thing was it was my Dad that did all the work on the farm!!

Yes exactly, and snap same here, even though dad worked on other farms as well for pocket money, he went into the coal mines at a young age, and every penny was taken for uni, my uncle then went into teaching then a uni lecturer and its all thanks to my dad that got him there in the first place.
And of course dad is now suffering lung disease (emphysema) due to all the years working down the coal mines.

    Very annoying isn't it?
