They weren't the real Chippendales - I think they'd be far too old by now :D

We didn't get to see them perform though because not enough women turned up. I had a very enjoyable night out though. In spite of what it might've appeared like on here in the last few weeks, I do not go out very often :rotfl: so that made it even more enjoyable (plus I got to see cute guy again.)

OOOOOOOOOO cute guy, this is looking interesting

I'm off to bed now, I'm seeing double I'm so tired

    I agree beanielou.;)

My dad worked in a few coal mines as there were that many also in the Welsh Valleys, he often mentions them and thinks he still has to wake up by 4 am to go to work, and of course as you know yourself they worked way into dark, straight into freezing cold showers.......
And suffer for it at a young age too.
mornin everyone yes DI the North East is a strong mining area as well (well was) There is a coal mine in Beamish open air museum County Durham and another one in Ashington Colliery in Northumberland when I went there it made me proud to see all the union banners and pidgeon lofts the pit houses ect but the mine itself was so awful the small seams where they worked were so tiny and dusty that bit made me angry:A

Morning. I have always wanted to go to the Beamish Museum. Might meet up with you there Our Jinny. I always feel i owe the coal miners a debt of thanks, the industrial revolution would not have been possible without the work of all those hard working people. And look at what is left? I grew up in Birmingham, everyone's parents were involved in car manufacturing. What do we have left? Call centres that terrorise vulnerable people for debt. Although there has been some progress in terms of working conditions and the Welfare state nothing much has changed. Progress hey? Pious hope or Trojan Horse? Discuss.

One of the songs that changed my life was Too Much too Young - Anyone remember the Specials? My mum hated it. We need museums, some people think that they are diverting resources away from future creativity but I don't think you can move on till you have dealt with the past. (ironic laugh!).

    Mad ramble. Shut up SW.
