Well done Nadal. Not a surprise! I am watching a Catherine Cookson film called The Dwelling Place (on yesterday tv channel). Oh my gosh. Life was so unfair in those days. Thank goodness for the suffragettes and economists and great social acitivists - Emily Davison, Emmeline Pankhurst, Aneurin Bevan, John Maynard Keynes where would we be without them.

Film ends soon back at 5.45-6??

    Hiya my lovelies.

Sorry I have not had chance to read through all posts yet, but hope your all okay.;)

Also just to say, just came home from seeing dad, he was lovely, the staff said so far he have been fantastic, although he is unable to stand up on his own now or even walk for that matter, but it may still be early days yet, we will have to take it day by day.

He looked lovely, clean and smart and his colour looked better than the last time I seen him the other day, he was happy to see us, so that is good as he still seems to know we are his family, he did call me Ann sometimes though, who is my mum, but I didn't mind.:A

The main thing is he is being cared for by professsionals which is best for him, the staff are so lovely and never leave their sides.;)

Started raining earlier, sun back out, for how long though I don't know, still its doing the garden and flowers good.:)

It's good to know that your Dad's looking better and, with you being able to visit him, I'm sure that he'll be feeling a lot better in himself.

I bet you cheered him up. You must be the image of your mum Di! I think that is v good. The temperature has dropped suddenly, i have had to shut the windows as I am getting cold. oh dear. I think it may rain here soon. My plants are looking ok, it is a wilderness out there though!

I must look into getting a gardener after all this building stuff is done. I am going to stay here and continue to tidy my notes so that all is complete by tomorrow under the influence of Spotify!

Thank you SW,:A, yes he was already happy before he seen us arrive in the dayroom, and also had a bit of a laugh as well, he has a thing about teasing the nurses lol, then he was always a bit of a comedian anyway, so it was good to see him like that.:T

The temp also dropped here slightly today as well, in fact I had to put on my heating......, that's the thing being used to a good run of hot day isn't it?:DX

Glad to hear that the visit with your dad has made you feel more positive, Di.

I am sure that your visit was good for him, as well.

And, as you say, he is in the care of the professionals. Hope he continues to make good progress.

    Thank you Ann.:A

Yes I defo feel more with it today and a clearer head, it have helped lots and for dad too.

The staff have been wonderful and they don't hide anything, they will be honest, where the last care home he was first in did not disclose anything at all.

The care home he is in is fab and with orchard gardens too, he thinks he is back home in Old Tredegar where he lived as a little boy.

    They have it all onhand.:TX
