Everyone is in the sunshine except me!!! It's very overcast here and very windy.

Mind you, that just about matches my mood today. I'm feeling very down and I'm also very tired because I had a late night Friday and then couldn't sleep last night.

Sorry to hear that you are feeling down, Pixie!

Is it just a general feeling or something specific which you can share on here? A trouble halved and all that - although we don't have a magic wand, as in your Avatar!

Do make sure you eat properly, SW.

    When do you move out?

And have you got a Project Manager for all the work on the house, or are you doing it yourself?

Ann i cannot manage to feed myself most of the time. Me organise. Did you see my PM??? (har har) I am scared of man people - when i had my garage done I was totally ripped off i was so scared i moved out into a friends as i cannot cope with even talking to them most of the time. It took me ages to trust Andy, he was the only one that never asked me out and i love him because he is gay.

They are from Birmingham, they are the team that updated and extended Dad's house and his project manager has hired lots of other people like electricians and thngs too. I did not want a local firm as they would have seen me coming as am so stupid. football, building all that is man stuff. I avoid it. Do you know during my first degree, people did the printing for me. I did not have to ever use a printer for 3 years. I am scared of all those types of things. If i see anyone bigger than me i get scared so i am leaving it all up to the PM. I am even scared of him!!! Hence running off to Janet's and they are moving in for a month. I am even scared of her husband and he is lovely. Luckily he works shifts so i will be ok.

If they screw up a) my dad will eat them and b) my friends and their husbands will sort it. They all have engineering companies and know about life, grown up things and they will sort it. They are all v clever and nice. So i am sure it will be ok. But it is going to be fine as God always looks after me.

Just realised that the grammar in my post was incorrect! (And my first degree is in English!)

It reads as if I am asking if you are actually DOING the work yourself! Of course, I didn't mean that - I meant the project management bit! Shame on me!

Anyway, you have answered my query. It sounds as if your dad will be able to check that everything is done properly, on time, etc. and that you don't get ripped off! You are quite right, you hear horror stories about cowboy builders - and it isn't just women on their own they rip off!

Bet you are looking forward to seeing the end result!

Am now going to watch the tennis. Had some Jehovah Witnesses on the doorbell - thought at first they were from a DCA! (Not that they would appear on a Sunday - but you just never know!)

Now, go and eat and get your blood sugar levels where they should be!

    Hi Ann and SW

There was something specific that I was feeling down about but it's sorted out now.

Very rude of me - I didn't say thank you for your kind words - and all those kisses and hugs SW!

    Glad to hear it, Pixie!

The tennis has just finished. Not surprisingly, Nadal easily won - wonder if that is a good sign for Spain in the World Cup?
