    Yes, it is very scary!

But, unlike me Di, it wasn't your son's fault!

Your suggestion about the mower, clippers, etc. really made me laugh! It would really serve them right. I would be tempted to do it myself if I wasn't going out and it wasn't too hot!

LMAO.........can't wait to get started with the mower now......:rotfl::rotfl:, and the clippers, and as you know the pertrol ones are very noisy........:rotfl::rotfl::D

    Hi Ann

Ok, regards to your email and subsequent questions....

Just another slight query relating to a couple of other items in the post - Two more letters from Mercers, saying that they are going to ask a local collector to call on me. Not sure whether I should send the “account sold .....” letter or whether this refers to the issues with Resolvecall, which have already been answered earlier in the week, and these have clashed in the post. These Barclaycard accounts seem to be in a muddle – from their end, naturally!

I'd leave this for a week, do not reply to it - does the reference they are using match the previous letters, or is it a new one? However for the time being, ignore them.

Attached is the 4 page letter they sent in reply plus a copy of the agreement containing my signature. The letter is very detailed and I fully expect you to confirm that they have done everything properly. They also sent their conditions, which I am not sending as I think you have already seen them. Please do let me know if you would like to see them.

Ok, the better news - I think Amex is actually unenforceable! The dozy fools have sat there and shot themselves in the foot, by them listing in great detail why they think it is enforceable, they've inadvertently confirmed why it is not!

Rather funny, if not shockingly stupid! I'll sort you a personalised response for them shortly..... :D:D

Can you please email me the terms that they claim was on the rear of the "application" form.... I need these, thanks Ann. :p

    Thanks Niddy,

I am very impressed that you looked at these today!

Am just getting ready to go out but will answer your questions before I go! (Am walking anyway, in this heat(!), so that I can have a little glass of wine!)

    Anyway, to answer your questions!

Yes, Mercers do have the right account number this time.

Regarding Amex - and after your initial reaction and such a long and detailed letter I am surprised (and very pleased!) that you think it is unenforceable! Am probably being stupid here, but by application form do they mean the document I sent you containing my signature? That is blank on the other side but they did eclose a huge document called "conditions" with bits highlighted. Have not scanned this but I can easily do so if you would like to see it.

Thanks once again for all this!
