city and guilds was hard work i was trained the hard way in a ford dealership (lots of sweeping and tea making before being let loose on customers cars) live in gbury and just opened a small garage in bwater bloody hard graft but getting there:) i would never work for anyone else again theres just too many cowboys out there:mad:
C&G was bloody hard,that is why so frustrating when some people these days have got easy nvq and give everyone a bad name.
there are too many cowboys around,these were the main reasons i got out of the trade.
in WSM myself but lived in bwater for 6 months after moving down from mids.0 -
It may have changed since your day boys, as our trainees do 5years training before they are classed 'VW approved', they don't work on their own until their 4th year, and they do on the job training with college lecturers coming to assess them at work.all of this equipment is'nt worth 20pence if the techie using it is rubbish.:A Luke 6:38 :AThe above post is either from personal experience or is my opinion based on the person God has made me and the way I understand things.
