Im in alot of debt jointly with my husband and also have to go to Magistrates court on 8th September as Council tax has not been paid since living here (lived here 4moths, hubby left the Army).

I just dont know what to do, I have more outgoings that I have money coming in, im so tired and stressed I dont know what I can do. Before you ask, my husband is not much help and I dont have much of a family. His family dont seem to care. We cant get a loan either.

I just feel like crying all the time.

sorry I can't help you with the practicalities. I've just signed up myself and am still trying to work out how much I owe and how to go about clearing it off. What I can tell you is that I too felt right at the end of my tether and just couldn't see any way out of this.I really have made myself ill over it all and have felt truly desperate at times. However, the lovely people here have got lots of good advice and finally I can see a litle glimmer at the end of my tunnel. I know I still have a long and hard road to travel, but there seems to be so much support and encouragement here, it really does help knowing you are not alone. And that's the thing, you don't feel alone on here. Keep your chin up and I'm sure you'll find the help you need on here.

hey guys... maria asked me to give you all this quick update as she's now unable to go online unless it's at the library.

she managed to get a part time job (15 hours a week) which she started on tuesday this week. she also had a successful interview yesterday for sportsworld and should be starting there some time next week.

please PM her with your support as i know she does appreciate it

If you go to your local CAB, they have debt counsellors who will help you.

They will go through all your debts and contact people for you to lower repayments and sort out a budget.

Hi everyone
i heard from Maria recently. Hubby has now rejoined the army and maria and daughter have temporarily moved in with the in laws.She has no internet any more so probably won't be posting much but is still trying to sort out debts.
Just thought you may like an update.
