Hi All
I use the strawberry jam recipe found on the back of the jam making sugar and the jam keeps for years if you store it correctlySealed Pot Challenge #6010 -
So if the strawbs are about to "turn" they'll be ok?

I am thinking of making marrow and ginger jam to use up some of my marrows!
My grandma says it is nice, but Ive never tried it - does anyone know if it is worth making? There are loads of recipes on the web and i have one in a very old (1940's) WI cookbook so I might try that...0 -
I made a courgette and ginger chutney last week that could easily pass for a jam, although it has to mature for 3 months, the taste I had of the fresh stuff was amazing, really sticky with a nice afterburn to it. The one I used was from an allotment website that has tons of other recipes on it0

My DH and his dad love this. I'm not so keenThe recipe I have says you need to remove the water using salt. I find that freezing the marrow makes all the water come out - much easier :j

I will try it later this week and let you know what it is like! It is very cheap if you are accidentally growing giant marrows, (which I am) so probably worth a go...
if we don't like it I will donate it to my gran who suggested it!:rotfl:0
