Well finally got a minute at work!
Was doing some work down South and had limited access to the internet. It was actually quite nice as everything I spent I claimed back and I just felt that I was away from the problems for a short while.
Me and OH had a few days away camping which was cheap as chips and just what we needed, bit of time on our own.
In all honesty the CC bills are just horrendous, no offers and I know that I need to transfer one balance to trigger off an offence and then they usually follow in a chain - had intended to do a BT but fortunately held off, only to be told by OH that he is off working for a few weeks and we need to pay for the travel, hotel and day to day expenses first before we can claim back - this will come to about £7k :eek::eek: Thankfully we have a "spare" CC with nothing on but I dread to think what would happen if we didn't. So will have to hold off with the transfer for a few weeks and then try and get some offers in.
Not heard yet on the house, waiting to see if the Council would be "favourable" to our proposals but FIL is always asking about what progress we've made so he's still keen.
Off to work now, so much to catch on.1st debt - Next [STRIKE]£583.32[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£408.71 [/STRIKE] £0 :j
2nd debt - MBNA - £6,618.52

First lump sum to go - fingers crossed!

That's funny - in my head I always imaginied you to be down south. Are you a northerner, then, of in the Midlands?In_my_dreams wrote: »- had intended to do a BT but fortunately held off, only to be told by OH that he is off working for a few weeks and we need to pay for the travel, hotel and day to day expenses first before we can claim back - this will come to about £7k :eek::eek: Thankfully we have a "spare" CC with nothing on but I dread to think what would happen if we didn't. OMG, that awful! How can they seriously imagine that people have that kind of money around just to spend on 'expenses', and that they can afford to claim it back afterwards? That's nuts- big, fat Brazil ones!
Glad to hear you had fun camping and hope the offers come rolling in for you soon. Please call me 'Pickle'
