Bahh! Typical, only time in OH's working career that they "forget" to pay him - I kid you not  Should have been paid on Friday and still not - apparently they are on to it and will hopefully credit our account this lunchtime but we shall see.

Despite the promises the Bank clearly lied, I ran around paying money in to cover the cheque, just for them to bounce it and charge me anyway. Going to ring up and complain this morning as I even took the woman's name down who told me that it wouldn't bounce and had been paid - why are they so useless?

So my fingers wait tentatively to update spreadsheets and pay bills........

One of my 'ambitions' is to move back to First Direct (£1400 o/d/) as soon as I don't need A&L's o/d £2k - they are a terrible bank with the strangest behaviour in balance management I ever did see!

How convenient that they 'forgot' to pay him! I thought I was getting paid today, no it is tomorrow! Hate the end of the month nightmare. But well done you for staying out of the poor house over the weekend!

There is no point in negative thought, it takes up time and energy which could be used in a positive, happy way!

We don't have an overdraft so I'm happy with it for now while I sort debts then il look to move to a nicer banks I won't have the hassle of loads of direct debits to change hehe How can a company forget to pay. Ahh I hope the bonus arrives :-) I'm at the edge of my seat in anticipation :-) xx

No money there yet  His work have said they will pay penalty fees for bounced cheque, but it's not the point, it's the shame of the cheque bouncing and having to explain why - ah well c'est la vie. Hopefully it will be there soon and I can pay off Next in full :j

I want to go to First Direct as well but I didn't think they offered overdrafts? We have £500 on one account and £1k on another account that we are best friends with :D

Trying to work now and not watch This Morning.....

I'm with First Direct - I don't have an overdraft because I didn't want one, but I was certainly invited to apply for one!
