    - have you actually had the sides off ?
    - does it really have an AGP slot ?
    - your stated OEM MOBO P6NGM2-FI as far as I can see is an MSi MS-7518 v1.0) mATX part
    - do you have the original destruction book ?
    - here is the pdf

To the group, I'm happy to be wrong if it does have an AGP slot.

The OP wants a graphics card for under 40 quid. I think it's being over analysed. If he said he wanted to spend 200 quid then maybe it would be worth a debate...

I think the confusion stems from the term "onboard AGP graphics" it has a 7100 onboard graphics chip that steals system RAM, and a PCIE slot for expansion. A discrete PCIE card even with a 64 bit bus would be better than that. If one can be found with a 128 bit or better bus within the price range then great. and AirCooledHeaven has it right, we should be looking at a decent all rounder to recommend at £40 or less, that will be better than the onboard 7100.
here is an Nvidia 210 at £35:

If OP could stretch to £46 then a GT9500 with a 128bit memory interface is an option

Alternatively if OP lives in North Wales VFM in Rhyl have 9500s for £41 depends if it's cheaper to go to Rhyl or pay carriage to an online vendor.

Yes it would be quicker for me to get to London than Caerdydd, or Swansea from my end :rotfl:

But really most cards around £40 would be better than the onboard imho, just wouldn't cut it if someone is an avid fps fragmeister, but in other respects they are fine and dandy.

Most of the cards around £40 would do the job better than the onboard on WOW it's just down to whether you prefer NVidia, or ATI, but you will already have NVidia drivers on your system from the 7100 onboard, so may be the easiest option. Just remember to disable the onboard graphics in the BIOS before shutting down and installing a new card

Might as well spend £20 quid then if you aren't bothered by performance

Won't be much slower than the 64bit 4550.
