What card type - PCI? AGP? PCIe? What ouput do you need - DVI? HDMI?
Also, what OS do you intend to use? Some makes are not well supported with certain OS.0 -
well a bit short on information,
how old is your system? (AGP is still around in some old systems)
do you know what is currently in it?
do you want it as quiet as possible?
and what are you wanting to do with it?
quick look on ebuyer shows the following cards within your budget - do not go on biggest number means best as it doesnt always follow always have a look at bench marks
check out this for a rough idea on how they match up between nvidia and ATI http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/graphics-card-radeon,review-31911-7.html
ATI
HD 4350
HD 4550
HD 5450
little over budget a HD4650
nvidia
G210
8400GS
9400GT
personally i would go for the slightly over budget 4650 as it has quite a bit more power than the others but it all depends on what you need it for
this is quite interesting

on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)0 -
DVI. Windows XP.
MObo has got both AGP and PCIe
Mainly play games but nothing too high end.0 -
gonzo127, I've not seen a compactPCI for about 7 or more years, and when they did exist they were megga priced cards.
- they are prolly a redundant hardware item now.Disclaimer : Everything I write on this forum is my opinion. How about Radeon 4650 from here:

Is AGP, DVI, but breaks the budget a bit at 42.99 + P&P0 -
wrong person i didnt suggest compact pci :P
- Did I suggest you did ?
- no !
- so not wrong person but right person
- I was hinting at [ consequence ] putting even a moderate AGP into an 8 year old MOBO / PSU
You can carry on now gonzo127Disclaimer : Everything I write on this forum is my opinion. Hi Smithy, not sure you're allowed to offer items for sale on here, see below text cut from the forum guide:-
"The safety of our forum users is paramount and for this reason we can't allow anyone to exchange their personal details either on the open forum or via PM, however honourable the intention.
This means we don't allow selling/trading/exchanging/swapping or giving as gifts, nor links to your ebay auctions, or other forms of advertising."
