Looks like its got a Geforce 7100 on board so not sure how much difference a Geforce 7800 would make?

Hi Smithy, not sure you're allowed to offer items for sale on here, see below text cut from the forum guide:-

"The safety of our forum users is paramount and for this reason we can't allow anyone to exchange their personal details either on the open forum or via PM, however honourable the intention.

This means we don't allow selling/trading/exchanging/swapping or giving as gifts, nor links to your ebay auctions, or other forms of advertising."

    Sorry :)

Fair enough but he was only trying to be helpful...

well it should make a massive difference

    http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/graphics-card-radeon,review-31911-7.html

is a rough idea on what tier of performance you can get although it doesnt have the intergrated 7100 chipset on that however the ATI HD3200 intergrated chipset is slightly more powerful and you can see how much higher the dedicated 7800 is above that

The integrated 7100 graphics has a core clock that runs at 600MHz and shares anything from 64MB up to a maximum of 256MB of system memory. It supports both DirectX 9 and Shader model 3.0 but, as you might expect from an integrated graphics solution, the gaming performance isn't that great, scoring just over 1,000 in PCMark05

the BFG 7800GTX OC scores over 7000 in PCMark05

HOWEVER the BFG card will require a extra power from your PSU so double check you have spare power before you buy any card
    Drop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
    10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
    20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)

It all depends on what you want to do with it, as a £40 card would not be up to some of the latest games. Your board has a PCIE slot so that improves your meagre choice at the price point.

here is a review of a £40 card a Radeon 5450 that is fine for multimedia:

If you budget £50 - £60, or nearer £100 the gaming performance would be better, if gaming was important, but otherwise some of these cheap cards will be far better than the integrated graphics chipset, not least because they have their own memory on the card that is faster than onboard graphics stealing slower system RAM which can be a real bottleneck slowing down the whole system. If you have a basic PSU around 300 Watt that may need an upgrade also.

The board needs a PCIe graphics card, not an AGP one.

It is a lot more powerful than a 7100. The 7100 is a no frills (cheap) integrated graphics processor. The 7800 was a high end card a few years ago. I believe the graphics processor in the PS3 is a version of the 7800GTX..

Only problem with the 7 series is they are a DirectX 9 part, basically osolete and were among the last high performance AGP cards available there was a beast of a card with a 7900 chip for AGP made by Gainward. The 8 series onwards are DirectX 10 compatible, and PCIE only which as this is the slot in the OP's board is no problem. the onboard 7100 will be dire, so nearly anything 8 series or later, or ATI equivalent would be better imho.

The prices are in $ but take a look at these recommendations:
