  • I started work for livlines over a month ago, and called up admin the other day, as i was unable to log of due to a caller not hanging up, so my phone line was still open. I was late for the school run so called off my mobile and was put through to Louise, NOW ALL I HAVE TO SAY ABOUT HER IS "WHAT IS HER PROBLEM"????? I simply needed them to know that im not ignoring the phone if it rings and that im out of the house and the situation, as i could not log off. From the start she wasnt interested in what i was trying to tell her,constantly speaking over me and asking what do i expect her to do about it. I couldnt get a word in, she then abruptly told me she's busy and aint got time for this and hung up!
    Well...... I was in shock, im a 35 year old woman and she must of thought she was speaking to one of her kids or something! This aint good conduct for a business,this totaly peed me off and i wont be staying with them for much longer,seems this woman has a history of barking at people who have general enquries,why tell people to call the office if thats the response there going to get. Im still in shock,she's lucky it was over the phone and she hung up on me ,cause i would of put her in her place. Misserable cow!

    Hi there
    I'm asking this on behalf of a friend who can't get online at the moment. She is needing to earn money, and although she does use tarot cards, it is only for her own use. Would this be enough for this type of work?

    Basically she and her ex have split, and they ran a business together. She is currently going through her lawyer to try and get her share of the profits (ex is being very unreasonable) but in the meantime she needs to get an income and jobs are hard to find at the moment.

    worked for em for a while so perhaps have something to add.

    never had any real issues. callers generally pleasant. staff and supervisors have been ok mostly and have been cool with it when I've needed to log off prearranged shifts at short notice due to family issues EXCEPT the individual already named who can be fairly inflexible. personally think she's related to owner rather than got job on merit.

    pay is always on time and always agrees with my calc. ok you don't get paid for first minute but they stated that up front so don't like, don't do. simples. however although ad I responded to stated up to 25p per min the most I have been paid is 21. also during phone interview the staff member rushed through that bit of the script, on reflection probably on purpose, so don't believe the ad. also it says hours to suit but after applying they tell you it's 25 hrs minimum and has a mandatory 6 hour nightshift included. again, ad is potentially misleading. they will also pressure you by text or call to fill certain shifts but best idea is ignore it or say you can't - they will text EVERYONE and lo and behold you will end up taking no calls if you do what they ask you to.

    Elite are a non starter. have emailed from their contact form multiple times and receive no response. lately heard from someone who worked from them and they didn't have lot to say that was good so best avoid.

    livelines won't have you flying to Rio but it beats factory work hands down. just don't expect it to be something it's not and you'll be fine.
  • If you are considering working for this company then i would advise you reconsider. I have worked for many companies in my time but this one is ran by some of the most obnoxious, rude and patronising women i have ever spoken to on the phone. Both Louise and her Mother speak to you like you are a naughty school child. They obviously do well on group 5 Domination! They are rude and unhelpful and quite obviously think all their workers are desperate for cash so will accept this kind of attitude. Also for a job that is so called self employed they like to lay down the rules such as "you have to do 1 nightshift a week and you have to do a minimum of 25 hrs a week" surely if self employed you should be able to do how many hours you want and choose when you want to do them? well not if you work for livelines. The will use any excuse to only pay you the 10p rate and never acknowledge emails you send them. Guys if you read this and use the service let me tell you the women you think you got on the other end of the phone are not what you imagine. reality is i would be in a cosy dressing gown playing online bingo with a cup of coffee and a fag. just picture that next time you call........
  • Yes i agree louise and her mother are 2 of the most obnoxious and patronising people you could ever find to speak to. their communication skills are zero and i am not surprised they can never keep staff. they will also use any excuse to pay you the 10p rate and i cant understand how a company that tells people they are self employed can be allowed to dictate to workers how many hours they have to do or what shifts they have to work. Guys if you read this the women you think you are speaking to on the other end of the phone are not what you imagine.   • it was better when my mate first started manyyears ago.she stuck with livelines as they didnt want too much personal info to start up.,ie no proof of id,d.o.b. etc. hated having to stay awake all night,but the pay was 19 p per min from 2am till 10am. there was also a bonus paid,the log on number+the office number wasnt an expensive 08 no.They were landline no s which i believe u can still use if u know what they are. The wages were paid weekly,not fortnightly.So now they can rob you because if you do under 20 hrs 1 week,but the folowing week do the full hours,you l still get paid at the lower rate for both the weeks! is this fair? Xmas,new year wages were much higher for approx 2 wks.You was given the option of what hours you can do over that time,now if your night happens to fall on xmas eve +u cant do it,TOUGH!they expect u to.You may b lucky enough to have a long conservation with a customer,then you sudenly,abrupty,get cut off.Wht cant the custmer talk for as long as they want? you used to get a recorded voice giving 2 minute warning before the call ended.all this seemed to good to b true,but this is what my mate says. so wheres the best chat company for me to work for?
  • Hi all, I worked for livelines a few years ago, I agree with almost everything that has been said about them, they phone you to log on all the time - they would phone me on an almost hourly basis during the day (i mainly worked in the evenings) it got so bad that i ended up taking the phone off the hook when i was at home - I tried to tell them that it was not suitable for me to be talking dirty to people while i had my 3 year old son by my side, but they didnt seem to listen! they would put you to the end of the 'list' if you had about 5 calls that lasted less then 5 mins etc etc... I ended up leaving because they rang and tried to tell me off (lol) saying that my OH was in the background shouting 'tell livelines to f**k off' and they told me that it was not appropriate to speak to her staff like that! (he ACTUALLY shouted out in the background 'if thats livelines tell them to stop phoning, you cant log on coz were about to have our f***ing dinner!') I found a different company to work for, and i went to the media about livelines because i thought the way they treated people was disgusting. I ended up getting a nice fee for a middle page spread in a newspaper. The paper did not mention the company name, but as soon as the manager (of livelines) at the time saw the papers, she rang me and warned me that the call was being recorded so i should be careful what i say to her, and she then went on to tell me how they are going to take legal action against me for going to the papers. I asked what she was going to do exactly, and i was told that if i done anything else in the media, they would sue me!
    The next day i agreed to do an interview on the radio about single mothers working 'outside of the box' (LOL)
    It was a while ago, but im happy that i got my own back on livelines for all the hoops they made me jump through, and i wanted to share it with you all to show that its true what they say about bloody LIVELINES!!!!

    Hi, I have been an online and telephone reader for 16 years, during this time have worked for 3 companies, all with similar pay per minute.
    It is a fantastic job, allowing you to work flexible hours, around your family or commitments,
    Decide how much you would like to earn, and commit to a number of regular hours to achieve your earnings,
    Most companies pay between £12 and £20 per hour, base on per minute earnings, Being realistic you can expect to work about 20 minutes per hour you are logged on,
    I work 40 hours per week and earn aprox £1200 per month, less tax.
    To earn more I work more hours, with experience you discover the busiest times to work, with experience tou develop your skills to open up readings, and readings lasting about an hour are not unusual.

    Most companies want happy readers and happy customers, so you are rewarded for your commitment and skill,
    working for several companies, means your customers get to know you, and your calls are in demand

  • decided to google review on livelines nothing really there about them.found here tho however iv been working with them over 2years not something im proud of completely changed me..hate men more than ever and have lost my confidence.

    dont understand how anyone can rate them good or earn good money.yes you get put down to no calls if you dont do what is wanted or keep callers on long enough im sorry but how is this poss when a man is wnating just to do one thing..they dont train you give advice and to listen to their recordings costs a bomb as leaving your own recording and to ring them up so each time you call them or listen to recording for advice you are paying top rates.

    they never advice or help and never say well done.. they leave messges saying the same thing some girls are rubbish dont do jobs properly

    i had unexpected phone by the top boss saying i was !!!! and why did she want need me and she laid into me for seemed a lifetime i was to shocked to speak and did leave me in tears.never ever have i been spoken to before like dirt not at all professional some supervisors are nice but think the nice ones left now.. they arent allowed to talk to you nor you them they are recorded and get into trouble.

    most calls are recorded but they dont botehr with it unless they are after you.. i was so tired throught night shift it does effect your health and 20hours is now the mandate.they keep sending you call after call after call when they know you are struggling but send you none when you do well yet other times here and there..i swear they record and cut your customer off

    i have had nothing but abuse and had to listen to abs horrific stuff i cut the caller off and reported one child abuser and was told oh right ok yeah yea off you go !!!! off and work.i had abuse on my night shift spoken to like dirt this time i spoke back ..well they recorded me

    and rang me up screaming at me for fking up and being !!!! and being tired..not all my calls i know for a fact were few mins long..but they focused on short ones even tho not my fault..she spoke to me like dirt when i tried ot talk cut me off by saying argue as much as you want but your !!!! and i have to now speak to superivsors tomorrow and customers.
    she logged me off and iv been to scared to go back on..dreading my phone ringing to be bollocked again so dont know what to do.. as stil have hours to do altho the lst time the big boss said wnated me sackd but this supervisor saved me

    you dont get time off expected to work throughout.. any abusive off customers they dont care..nor any other wrong abuse..so many times iv been paid next to nothing with no explanation if you make hardly calls or dont average 5mins for week they deduct the whole week or just dont pay you no warnings.. there is no longer night rates.. cant remember daily rate but minus the min to begin with its next to nothing..

    i earn peanuts on it below minum wage. they stopped ringin texting me to work as i dont do it

    strongly advice against..its horrific way treated..they have dented my confidence..

    im waiting to hear back from another company worked for them over 2years oh never asked for id of any kind all had was a contract saying if anyone unhappy then i get sued not them
