Hiya Guys

Just wondering if anyone has had experience of working @ livelines doing the tarot readings, I just wanted to know if the phones were quite busy and the experiences you had.

It states £15 per hour, but you are paid per minute and have to work a min 12-6am shift, I dont mind this, long as phones busy so make the hourly rate

any feedback, good or bad would really be appricated

heres the link...

Thanks !!!

ive worked for livelines [text removed by MSE Forum Team] . if you time your calls yourself and then check online to match up the times with how much you are actually online .. you will see that with an average 5minute call . livelines have deducted upto 1 and half minutes for the the introductory speech ... even if you have been chatting too the customer for the whole of that time ,,,the introductory speeches are 1minute long ...and your not paid for that .i was timming the calss from the beep of when i got the customer through til when the call was released by the customer and on average was being [text removed by MSE Forum Team] between 1 and 1 and half minutes per call ...this adds up as average calls are between 4-8 minutes long ; [text removed by MSE Forum Team]

ps .. also just too let you know .. if you log on for this shift on thurs fri sat .. theres loads of people online so your calls are quite few and far between... calls drop off by about 3am and you are expected to stay logged on till 6am ... the morning hornies start at around 5am .. you will take quite a few calls between 3pm and 10pm and in school holidays when the bulk of the mums cant work the phone lines . the 1st 2 weeks they feed alot of calls thru too you dont ever agree to do any extra shifts ... supervisors will ring to try and get you to cover the "dead " shifts that no-one wants ...after the 1st two weeks ... it goes by how long you keep the customer on the phone ... so if u get a short call you go to the bottom of the list and you stay there till its your turn .. yoyu can wait a long time if this happens too you ,, cos in the meantime other people are still taking calls and remaining at the top of the list ... webcam is done by direct request .. texting is completely random with this company and again totally hit and miss

  • I agree with what has been said on here, beware lifelines do rip you off. There pay rates for the chat are lower now then 5 years ago. Elite Communications are good, do tarot and phone chat, rates are'nt bad. PM if you want more help. You can log on at any but you need to do 16 hours.

I was thinking about reading Tarot for Livelines but that really isn't an option anymore!

I used to work on the adult chatline for Livelines. It was ok. Not the job I'm most proud of in my life, and to be honest, sometimes it really upset me, but most of the time, in the right mood, it was ok. Sometimes even enjoyable. I did 25 hours a week (their minimum requirement) and I earned about £125 a week.
After a few weeks I worked out that the later the call the better as it was more likely to be someone who wanted to chat rather than have me talk dirty to them and get them off as quickly as possible without any input from them at all. So I had the system sussed for me, and my average call hold time was pretty good I think.

But then something major happenned in my life and I find I can't bring myself to take sex so lightly at the moment.
So, having read Tarot in the past, and being into intuition and perception, I made enquiries about working on the tarot line.

The info said that a night shift had to be included. I knew I couldn't do this so asked if I might be able to do a morning shift on the weekend instead (like I had for the adult chatline)
I was told that might be possible but that I had to speak to Louise.

I phoned Louise, told her my situation and asked her if it might be a good idea for me to do tarot. She was fairly short with me on the phone, spoke inaudibly a few times, and booked me in for training. She was practically hanging up when I asked if I could ask questions, at which point I finally got to ask about the hours.
She replied haughtily that I couldn't change the hours and that I should have asked this question at the beginning.
To which I instinctively stated " Ah, you're telling me off."
(because I am a 40 year old business woman, not a child)
She angrily exploded, saying that I was clearly not right for this and hung up.

    I'm still a little stunned.
For someone who makes a living out of organising people to communicate on the phone, she has incredibly poor phone communication skills. And she has lost someone who may have made her good money.

Sorry I've used this forum for a rant rather than useful information, but you at least know who you might be dealing with if you take on the job!

Can anyone recommend any other lines??
  • Hi,

I'm new to the site but I have registered with Livelines. After I'd sent in all the signed paperwork etc I was and still am having trouble with my phone provider removing annonymous call reject and 1571, I spoke to them 2 weeks ago but there is a problem with my line apparantly.

I spoke to one of the supervisors at the office and explained it to them and their attitude seemed very vague and not overly friendly or helpful...totally different from when I rang up to apply for work!

Anyhoo, after having a row with my phone provider again today I thought that I could maybe do text chat while I'm waiting for this to be resolved so I rang up again and they were like 'NO!!!' and sounded mightily pee'd off that I'd rang them up and even suggested it. I would have thought that as it comes through on your computer it would be a totally possible thing to do but instead they just made me feel stupid for even suggesting it to them.

    Charlie.
  • Hi

I have worked for Livelines now for 3 years and can honestly say its one of the best jobs I have had.

The money is great and its nice to be able to work around my family and other commitments.

Yes, you have to work hard and try and keep the callers talking but its like every job in that you get better with time.

My friend also does it and we both earn well over £200 a week providing we put in our 25 hours or more and make sure we do our night each week.

Its always really busy and the phone sometimes never seems to stop.

My wages have always been paid into the bank on time and are always correct so I have no complaints.

I have only had to speak to people at thier head office a couple of times but they have always been nice and helpful.

    Hope this helps.
