my favorites folder is full of them as I save one as soon as I see it.

but there are now over 60! and I am struggling to find the one I am looking for or sometimes I like to browse for inspiration.

Do you copy and past onto a word document and keep on a computer ?
    or print off ?
or sub divide favorites folder into more sections?

    whats the best way?

    Hi annie

When I see a recipe, I copy it then print it off, I then laminate it with this, it protects it from any splashes / spills whilst cooking.

I also bought a mini desk folder from ASDA for £1.49 which I store my recipes in.

    Hi annie,

There's an earlier thread that should help so I've added your thread to it to keep all the ideas together.

If you shop at ASDA, go to the stationary isle where you'll find the mini desk folders.

    I was bought a M&S recipie folder for a Christmas present - it's fabulous.

Holds a few plastic wallets to keep clean whilst cooking.
It's nice to be nutty but's more important to be nice

I'm toying with the idea of using a Tiddlywiki for recipes - http://www.tiddlywiki.com/
The tags would make searching very easy - Anybody tried this already?

I have copied and pasted recipes into a Word Document, but then tweaked them all so that all in the same format. These are then saved into My Documents in a folder called 'Recipes'. Within that folder, I've created others with subheadings (bread, cakes, soups, casseroles etc.). Out of these, I've printed off most of my favourites, put them into plastic wallets and store them in a presentation folder. I haven't actually got around to indexing them yet, but no doubt that will come in time. May have to eventually turn them into more than one presentation folder. The folders easily go onto my recipe stand and with them being in plastic wallets, there's no danger of them becoming 'manky'!

This what I've done as well. As I use a laptop, when I'm cooking a recipe, I plug the laptop in the kitchen, then as I use a recipe I make notes of dates, if recipe was used for a special occasion together any ammendments directly onto the laptop recipe. Also include time in oven and out together with temp changes (I have a fan oven) I take pics to add to recipe plus any comments to help with future use eg Mix was very wet, use less sugar next time, how many hobnobs etc I got from the mix
