How do you store your recipes?

I had all of mine on my laptop. I was planning on printing them all off and keeping them in an organised folder so I could have it in the kitchen for quick reference. But my laptop has pretty much died now so I need to start from scratch.0

A quick question for those of you that store your recipes online ...
Most of the recipes that i use regularly are adapted from the likes of Delia and Jamie or have been printed previously in books/magazines. If i'm storing them online (thinking about using a blog to do this), do i need to worry about copyright, as they will be available to anyone who took the time to look for them? Do I need to put a line in somewhere saying ... adapted from Delia recipe or something similar?0 -
I have an A5 ringbinder with plastic pockets in, I cut recipes out of magazines etc and glue them to paper and put in the pockets....easy to find the recipe I want and the plastic stops them getting splashedAugust grocery challenge: £50
Spent so far: £37.40 :A0 -

I doubt the list of ingredients will be copyright, but the words used to describe how to combine them and cook them will be. If I were you I would alter the description just to be on the safe side.
The recipes TV chefs "invent" are all modifications of existing ones anyway!0 -
not really sure where to post this so here goes............
I am trying to be as OT as possible and making as much as possible from scratch. I have a few recipe books, a folder with bits of paper in it and a notebook with recipes written down. These live on top of fridge so not really orginised.
I know many people keep recipes in their head but I have to write them down or I forget ingrediants lol
How do others store their recipes?
I have thought of a card index box but when I looked at them yesterday changed my mind because of the cost. Was about £8 for box and cards
I have also though of using a recipe website that allows you to store your own recipes as well as having access to other peoples, anyone any recommendations?
All ideas appreciated lolTOTAL 44 weeks lose. 6st 9.5lb :T0 -

I keep mine in a folder. I have a poly-pocket for each sort of recipe (soup, cakes, bread, etc) so that I can flick through when I'm in the mood for baking a cake, making bread, etc
More ideas for you here; I'll merge this later.:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -

ive got a hardback notebook and i write them in there when i find a receipe i like.
if your looking at index cards check out the supermarkets as i got a load of index cards plus a box to keep them in for a few £.0 -
I have one of those student type notebooks that have the dividers in them and use that for my handwritten recipes. For all the photocopied or torn out of magazine recipes I keep them in pollypockets in a folder. I have 2 recipes back to back in each pocket and keep main meals together, soups together, sauces together................you get the ideaEmma

I store mine pretty much how you do, However, a recent idea I have had is to either store them in a folder like Pen Pen said.
Or you said you have a few cook books, I do as well, and I was thinking to store them in a similar cook book, one you use for baking - put your cake receipes in there.0
