How do you store your recipes?

I think Paperchase do nice ones, I was looking for a wedding album as a present and I am sure they had a selection of books to write recipes in next to them0

My daughter bought me a lovely book from TK MAXX, kind of a Paisley print in beige and green, and lovely thick white plain pages.
I think she only paid about £4.
She wants me to fill it with all her favourite recipes that I cook, so when she leaves home, she will be able to take it with her and cook the things she likes, she will have to learn the basics of cooking first though.

Love the ideas on this link, I love cook books I have (at Last count) about 300 I have two tall Ikea book cases in my kitchen, the problem used to be i'd try a recipe and then forget what book it came out of, so know I have a little pocket not book that when I've tried something I rate it,write down what book it came from and what page it was on.
I also have a hand written book that has recipes that I have copied from this site and ring binders of recipes from mags, I buy all the monthly food mags I know,I know not very money saving  I realy must stop this.
I did at one time have a file on my laptop with recipes in that I had copied from here and other food sits, then my old lap top brock and I lost the lot:mad: one day I would like to put my best recipes into a book form.
I like watching the hairy bikers "mum's knows best" when you see some of the people on there with recipes that have been in there families for generation. I find it a form of food history. unfortunley or should I say fortunely( as my mum was a useless cook:rotfl:) I don't have any of these.

I have a couple of ring binders & I store all the recipes in plastic wallets in them.
I often copy a well uses recipe from a recipe book & put it in the ring binder so I don't have to search through my recipe books.Try to be a rainbow in someone's cloud.0 -
Interesting thread.
I've nothing very original to add about storage. Mine are in polypockets in a ring binder but the dividers are red meat, chicken, fish, veg, puddings etc rather than some of the other was of sorting.
What I did the other week was to have a sort through and remove recipes that I hadn't made in ages and wasn't likely to make again. The reason being that I have changed our eating habits hugely in the past year or so and some of them had far too much oil/pastry etc in them. Some I was able to adapt.0 -
I have lots of recipes that I'd like to organise. I know how I want them to store them but the problem is I can't find something suitable! Basically I want them printed onto card then attached to something that can be flipped over. My first thought was to use the Finlir picture holder (http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/90036207) from Ikea, but I realised that the silver hoops can't be opened.
P.S not a Rolodex, those things are ugly!
Does anyone know what I can use?
I hope it makes sense!

You can get nice book rests - cast iron or wooden from memory (see links) - they're a nice kitchen feature if you have space. You could always make a nice cover for the recipes in colours/theme that matches your kitchen.
