Glad you are inspired. I find long days sooo tiring but you are right extra so when your head is spinning from exciting brain food.

Sounds good to me - and you're in another one at the mo? Hope thats going just as well, but with better food :)

Cheery, I know this is a pain - but could you repost your quickie pancake thing? I'd search for it, but pancakes get mentioned a *lot* on this thread, so that won't cut the mustard :rotfl:

    Evening all :D

Quick pancake thing KC? Do you mean the recipe?? Er...

    Some flour
Add an egg (if you have one, some milk if not)
Mix, then mix a bit more, til it's liquid but thicker than water/milk :D
    Add a pinch of salt

Was that it? Or were you after the pancake maker? Mine is something like this No idea if it's exactly this one, it's a present and I've thrown the box away! :D

Another cheery training course today! Not quite as useful as yesterday, but still very interesting, and a good tour round the place too. I'm so fired up with enthusiasm for work at the minute :D I'm just so lucky to be doing something so fascinating and potentially useful, and I'm learning so much in the process.

Busy pondering a few things here while watching Chocolat :D I had a few vague ideas for post-PhD patchwork lifestyle type things, but they're all being thrown non-specifically up in the air by the fact that I'm just darn enjoying WORK so much at the minute :rotfl: NOT a thing I ever thought I'd heard myself say :rotfl: So a few things to think about - funny, because I kind of ended up doing this by accident, and now I love it :rotfl:

Anyway, waffling on in a silly way and not really sure what I'm saying, back when I'm more coherent! :rotfl:

Bleurgh! Just popped up to get hot water bottle for mean old girly stomach ache issues :o

However - while I'm waiting for the kettle I'm messing about on here, and discovered I've sold 2 Amazon books in the last few hours! :j Not exactly huge - one will get me £3.88 and the other £2.64, (and there's postage to come out of that!) But still - that's £6.52 more than I had yesterday (I always 'donate' postage from my unnecessary spending account, so that when I get the payment I get to keep all of it :rotfl: Daft, but makes me feel better!) One of them is rather big, but I DID weigh everything when I put it on, so it *should* work out ok, especially if I post tomorrow and can send second class! :D

Kettle's done, off to bed <yawn>

hope the hot water bottle works, well done for selling two books, not only is it a little money but it's also a little space in your life.
  • Hey you, take care and imagine 'enjoying work' - :) glad you are! You're clearly doing something you like - which is brilliant - that doesn't make it non patchworky - but more of a solid income 'blanket' which you can embelish the edges with other lovely patchworky-stuff :)

    Ace!!

What a lovely idea! :j :j I got so hung up on the idea of a complete patchwork, I was forgetting sometimes that you can actually enjoy your main job! :rotfl: Especially since I do it only 2 days a week :rotfl: But f they offer me more doing the same thing, or especially if it's a similar thing on a slightly different project, I shall JUMP at the chance :j And make sure I'm embellishing my options round the edges with little applique patches and fancy stitching :j Love you Fay :j

WI done, Dreadful car boot ambled round, lunch on the go, knitting and craft fair to go to this afternoon - I love Saturdays! :j :j And I'm wearing a LOVelY red and white polka dot top, bought in a charity shop a few weeks ago, needed to lose a pound or two so haven't worn it since, but had revelation this morning that I DON"T HAVE TO DO ALL THE BUTTONS UP! :rotfl: So just one button done up with a nice top underneath - and when I stood on the scales I've lost 3lbs this week anyway! :j :j :j
  • All sounding great :)

Love the sound of the top :)
