Glad your sister is telling her kids there's more to life than accepting your lot LT. It's so difficult when these things get passed down through the generations.
And pah to silly bra nonsense! Very wise to buy plenty! Tonight we'll be sitting down with the laptop and hunting through the websites for something beautiful AND supportive :j :j :j :j
But now, best trot off, having a bit of a phd-related activity spurt! All very bizarre, and thought I'd have to stop by now, but Mr Daffs just announced he's getting in the bath, so I've got a bit longer :j :j (going to jump in the bath after him - very MSE even if not very hygienic :rotfl:
:rotfl:).
Best get back to it!0 -
Mr Daffs And The Bra Quest - it sounds like an adult version of Harry Potter :rotfl:
Thinking of the earlier conversation about potentialities - I've just had the *weirdest* conversation with my mother - we simply don't talk about sex, never have, except recently she comes out with some very oddball stuff. Anyway, she said "you lot never talked to me" - and, startlingly, I managed to get it over to her that if you have children, its actually *your* responsibility to help them talk and grow and develop - I didn't phrase it quite that way, but thats basically what I said. And she took it on board! It was amazing.
Still very weird  but I'm glad you're not going to run off and be an elephant, Cheery :rotfl: cos that would be .... well, we wouldn't be able to talk any more, you'd have a trunk and tusks and things :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Sounds like a good conversation with your mother KC! Strange how people can get resentful towards their children for things like that sometimes isn't it??
(won't tell you about the weirdest conversation I once had with my grandmother about sex!)
Mr Daffs and the Bra Quest - love it
Strangely enough, was reading a kids book in a charity shop today (as you do :rotfl:) about an elephant who wandered into a village, and the villagers didn't know who or what he was, and initially thought he was a train. Poor old elephant said 'I don't like coal, I like buns and cakes!'Eventually they figured out he was an elephant, but he didn't have a name, until a small boy twigged that he'd arrived with a red spotted hanky, and since the boy's name was written on his own socks, suggested they look at the hanky to see what was written there.
Result? One elephant called One Hundred Percent Cotton:rotfl:
Reminded me of the Jeeves and Wooster episode where Jeeves finds some 'objects' in the wardrobe - 'they can't be hankerchiefs, sir, they have writing on them'
(oops, am I still here??? :rotfl:)
Wow - a firework display right over my attic skylight window! :j :j0 -
Ooooh, just had a text from my mum, who is competing in the Jersey Eistedffodd (will I ever spell that right??) with her Sign Language Choir - they WON!! :j :j :j I can just imagine how excited she is
They got filmed by the BBC this morning too! :T :T

Thanks Souk, you're absolutely right!
We spent a lot of time bra shopping yesterdayHave got a whole bookmark folder ready now :j :j And because my fund is pretty limited, and I'm trying to get a basic collection, a kind of capsule underwear drawer, if you like, I've ordered two the same - a black and a white - for £28, including postage :j Right size and everything, from La Senza - my sister rates them very highly (she's a similar size), I've never bought from them so we'll see. Lots of Bravissimo ones waiting in the sidelines for the next time! :j :j
Right, off to Rutland now - although cake's still in the oven, needs to get done quicker!0 -
Sounds great, Cheery - tho my mind is boggling at the conversation with your grandmother :rotfl:
And congratulations to your mum! How brilliant is that :j:j:j

Still very weird  but I'm glad you're not going to run off and be an elephant, Cheery :rotfl: cos that would be .... well, we wouldn't be able to talk any more, you'd have a trunk and tusks and things :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Me too - talking with tusks would be a bit difficult and whilst I know you're car is roomy - unless you're a pigmy elephant you won't get up here for xmas..............
Mothers eh? Well done on yours and the choir Cheery and enjoy Rutland (whatever/wherever that is - I'm assuming not something with goat/deer/etc and actual rutting?)my mother tells me we're both terribly busy and too busy to have any sort of relationship
- I didn't know that................:rotfl:
Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
