sounds like you're progressing nicely with your list.
Feel like you're achieving much more than i am and i'm sat at work, but that could be cos of the constant questions i seem to get.
I'd love to live in either a light house or a windmill, it's on my bucket list, i'll have to see if there's any local ones on the Trinity list and see if i can take a photo.0 -
Well done on the list, Cheery! I did do an hour's work this morning, but I've just been sat on here since then. I need something else to eat, and then I *am* going to do a little bit of something. For definite.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

How's it going now you two? Lemon tree, it's so difficult to get things done with people asking you questions all the time, isn't it?? That *is* your work though, so don't feel like you're not doing anything
What about you KC, did you get anything done?
I've been for a mini potter about the charity shops, and to buy some picnic to take with us tomorrowJust scoffing the world's crunchiest pancake - almost like a popadom! :rotfl: Then straight back to it...

thats not bad.....
I've only just realised you're going to Aberystwyth (sp???) this weekend - no cheery chat then? Have a lovely time tho, beautiful part of the country, and you'll see cherisong, I'm tres jealous.
My afternoon wasn't too bad, thanks - ate something, and actually managed to do some work on my accounts - not huge, but its starting to get there. Had a bit of a lie down, I'm *so* tired, tidied the kitchen, managed to introduce myself to the neighbours on the party wall side, not met them yet  and went for a 10 min walk to introduce my skin to vitamin D..... then the Asda delivery finally arrived, unpacked it, blah blah. Not bad, actuallyI've just realised its 7.30 now tho, so I'm definitely going to watch a dvd soon, and get some sleep.
See you tomorrow!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
:j:j great progress on that list Miss Cheery. Shame you missed out on the £9 deals. I missed the email for some reason yesterday. I keep promising myself that when it comes up I will just book somewhere as I can take Moo to Travelodges.
Aberystwyth is indeed the correct spelling KC and I am looking forward to meeting Cheery (especially as she has suggested my favourite cafe which you would love as it is organic - and I know the supplier of the vegetables who is lovely as are the vegetables)
Trinity Lighthouses - must look that up as I dont know a lot about lighthouses, except that one came up for sale once in Hale Merseyside not far from where I lived and I was quite tempted. KC do you know Hale? Victoria Wood used to live there and her character Kimberley used to talk about it all of the time.

i did get some things done but not enough, i 'know' my job is to answer questions but i do feel that my team should be able to do some things without asking me all the time. They've only been in the department for 2 years!
I've become obsessed with a need for those gadgets that the contestants wear on their arms in the biggest loser. I know that exercising full stop will help me lose weight but my head has decided i need a gadget to sort me out. I must, must, must stay away from Amazon whilst i'm in this obsessive crisis time0 -
LT, I sympathise - I really try to be strong against gadgets in my mse days now, I simply don't use them when I've bought them:j:j great progress on that list Miss Cheery. I got a £22 plus £4 brekkie deal:o:o I still think its good enough for an ensuite, however bland and boring.

Thanks cherisong! Cheery's sig is mea culpawell, and Squirrel too
Hale - no, I never even knew there was a lighthouse therein fact, I never knew where Hale was until I googled it just now
:o I worked around Speke in my first Easter break from college, doing a traffic survey, fascinating to see its close to Hale. We got a car when I was about 8, and were promptly dragged out to North Wales (four hours each way!) most Sundays ....:rotfl:

KC, £22 plus £4 for brekkie sounds great! :j :j I'm hoping to figure out something similar. Although when I was masterminding this trip I wasn't planning on paying for it til after Christmas  But I'll only have to pay for the hotel, and only my half, so it should only be about £50 ('only' :rotfl: :rotfl:). Anyway, since it's to get a special deal, I'll poach it from the car insurance fund and make sure I put it back in January
(which I will, I've become quite good about things like that, hanging round on here! :j)
Glad you managed to get ome stuff done KC, although sorry to hear you're still tiredGosh, it's lasting a good while, isn't it?? You poor thing.Mr Daffs has been poorly all week after eating a fat-drowned (home made! but not by us obviously) curry last weekend - he *knows* it does this to him, and he's not been like it for ever such a long time, but this week's been dreadful. Pah!
LT, PM me your address (if you want to! - I found a little something the other day that I think will make you laugh(don't get excited though, it's not a gadget!)
Where did you go in Wales KC? We didn't go very often (no car, and no money!), but did go to Black Rock (near Portmadog) every year to stay in a caravan :j :j It was where my mum went when she was a kid - and when my grandma died, my mum and her sister bought a caravan there, on the same site, and still go all the time :rotfl: Went to Llandudno a few times too
Anyway, all I popped in to say was that I am doing APPALLINGLY BADLY at getting ready for tomorrow! :rotfl: I've not packed, I MUST iron my skirt (I have already been wearing it for 2 days, but at least if I iron it cherisong won't think I'm a complete slob :rotfl: :rotfl:), the kitchen is full of washing up, I need to make the bed in the attic for friend who's staying, tomorrow morning I want to leave free to sorting out diesel/tyres/etc on the car, having a shower, and booking a travelodge if I can squeeze it in! And I want to leave at 9am
Right - best set the timer then! :rotfl:0 -
Hey, dont iron your skirt on my account. I havent seen my iron for days. You will think I am a witch when you see the state of my hair (still not coloured after my witterings weeks ago on my diary)
KC, Hale sounds nicer than it actually is, it is ok for that area and is actually considered posh but I bet it would be nowhere near as nice as where you are living. There are a few nice thatched houses which are quite old and I imagine that when they were first built that it was a beautiful place. Shame that Speke airport (as I will always call it) is right next door and the planes are so low over the thatch that you could shake hands with the pilot.
£22 is a great deal. I am never too sure about the breakfasts though. If it is a travelodge with a bar then you will be able to get cooked, otherwise it is normally a cereal bar, bowl of cereal and watered down juice. If I stay in a travelodge I have to pay £20 for the whole stay for Moo on top of the cost of the room. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar.
