Ok, what's this with northern men? There's a whole bunch here, and three of them are single (:p) - but why northern men?

Well, I did try to spread my wings. I went out with a southerner. Once.

    Never again!

I find it very frustrating. We are in the lucky position of being debt free except the mortgage. But my husband is a real can't be bothered sort of person.

I am a stay at home mum, and he earns a good wage. I can't make him see that if we say got £50 for changing to A&L account, or saving x amount by changing insurers, that we could pay our mortgage off earlier. So it sometimes doesn't matter whether you are in debt or not, it can still be frustrating:eek:
I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

    Definately easier! Probably! :p

It's hard to say coz I split from my ex only a few weeks after my lightbulb moment! :rotfl:

I reckon it's easier being single though. Firstly Christmas was much cheaper, then there's Valentines I didn't have to fork out for, not forgetting her birthday or our anniversary! Then there is the cost in extra petrol going to see her, taking her out! Plus the annual foreign holidays we became accustomed to! :D

Yeah I reckon it is easier!
  • I'm single with no children and I'm finding it really hard to cut back! Being a singleton you are under pressure to socialise and go out in the hope of meeting a partner! So it's not all that good being alone as when that water bill comes in as it's only you that is paying.Or when you get billed for your council tax even with the discount. Nowadays, one wage is not enough to survive (only if you're on mega bucks) so I feel those who are married have a better deal - at least they can share their tales of woe. If I had a choice, I would rather be financially challenged with a family rather than an alcoholic lonely person with some loose change in her pockets!
