I guess it depends on your definition of booming.
Certainly when comparing Apr 07 with Apr 10, house prices in Scotland has is 5.09% higher.
Of course, you should always be aware and be looking at a more local focus if really interested in property prices in any specific area.
Not booming in my book, but certainly closer to booming than crashing:wall:

I have only one thing to say to this thread, but I thought I'd say it in capitals, given the thread title is shouting (not entirely sure that's good manners...):
I DON'T CARE!!!
There said it.
You can get back to your gloating thread now, Hamish.

Scottish prices arent up. you dont need to refer to stats to see the market is bloated with competitively priced homes that still arent shifting.
I study the property pages religiously and nothing is selling. Infact, every week I see prices get cheaper and cheaper. Properties that do eventually sell end up back on the market a couple of months later.0 -

:rotfl:
Aberdeen plus 4% last month alone, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee, Inverness all up month on month and year on year.
There mat be a few areas not booming just now, but you'd have to look quite hard to find them.....;)“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
