    Didn't I mention how I met him?

    Must've slipped my mind

but while there are the MSE equivalent of dementors circling the thread (and, it would appear, with their eyes on a particular target IMHO) I'm going to (try very hard to) be somewhat circumspect.

Now THAT was definitely not a blonde bimbo sentence. Must be channelling Brian Cox or someone :rotfl:

Now remember flygang - Piggers is aound, as is Soappie

Um... glad you mentioned the dementors, I agree they have someone in mind... and, although I don't spend a lot of time around MSE, it's really painfully obvious.

I absolutely agree - but I also think the more any of us respond the more they will attack. It is evident that minds will not be changed through reasoned argument or indeed any other legally viable method so can we please all just resist temptation and (to quote the lovely Penelope Penguin) 'step away the keyboard'. Whilst any of us continue to post a defence in the other place the discussion will inevitably continue to roll on and people will continue to be upset/offeneded/annoyed/amused as they see fit :(.

I had a hard day in the garden, lots of veg planted - just in case it all goes very wrong . .

Valli - you have nothing to lose? The risk is that they spread disease, and I think they need a frost but I may be completely wrong. I am quite new to veg tbh, I mostly grew pretty stuff till we had this bigger garden. I think I am going to have to give jam, making a go this year too - just in case.

well (you are going to think this is funny) I put them in a hanging basket - so unless the little bulbs start walking like mini oniony triffids they might have a job spreading disease...

    so we'll see.

I'll be on hand in my role as jam guru BTW. Made Rhubarb and Ginger Jam on Friday...

    lashing down here an' all.

    Anyone heard from Jinky lately?

eta - funny that they are in a basket that is! Just that I happened to have an empty one handy!
