It has been brought to my notice that some people object to the chattiness on this thread.
This puts me in a difficult position, as I'm a BG, who often posts chatty posts here.
If anyone has any issues with this, please will they contact abuse, and make their feelings know through the correct channels. Abuse's e-mail address is in my sig.
If anyone has issues with my behaviour in particular, a polite PM to me will work wonders, or you can conatct abuse as before.
This isn't a plea for supportive PMs - I'm absolutely finejust gutted at the footie result

Pen Pen - I have no issues with your chattiness whatsoever. Re your previous post and the silliness in the Arms, I hope you've noted my invention of a new word - "Endemolism". I hope it'll be in common usage soon - remember - you read here first on Money Saving Expert :rotfl:
Oh - flying - I have decluttered my steak and salad with baby new potatoes and have tidied some things up but there is a bit more washing up to do at some point...I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

I didEndemolism - the process by which popular culture is dumbed down to such an extent that no further depths can be plumbed? (did you see my pun there
)
I've never seen Big Brother, but from what I read today, it's reached new depths
Do I remember that you have a particular interest in Bazalgete?
Name, Soappie; specialist subject, the Victorian sewers of London :rotfl::rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -

Brilliant :T I come up with the word, you save the Oxford dictionary people the problem of writing a proper defintion for it because you've already done it.:T

You a musician JoJo?Cool. Was there any saxophone?
MK, the only good bit is Stony Stratford *ducks*
Nope. I can get a rudimentary tune out of most instruments (and a few household items if I need to entertain a small child), but I'm more of a techie. No sax, but there was a 8 month old Steinway D Concert Grand in the studio.

And I was sitting here
Even the mics were fifteen hundred quid's worth of AKG C414s - the same as used by the BBC - so if you think the sound quality is good on the Archers, that's the quality I was dealing with.
My London senses were all yelling at me 'don't use the underpasses! Don't walk through the car parks!' but as far as I could see, that was what I was supposed to do. Felt like I was going through one humungeous industrial estate. (Sorry to concrete cow lovers everywhere!)
I just have to save up for some private engineer training now, as it was so much fun!I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -

Milton Keynes was an interesting experiment. A new town, built with idealistic planning visions.
Lots of cycle tracks and of course underpasses and car parks
I happened to meet an MK town planner about 10 years or so ago and we discussed the cycle paths that were remote (and therefore ideal for muggers etc) the underpasses, the car parks etc.
Seems from what he said, the layout of the town (or conurbation as it seems to be now) was an experiment and that yes, the experiment didn't quite pan out...
Such is life...I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

In a word.. tough.. we agreed ages and ages ago because the thread runs mon-fri the weekends would be permitted to be filled with chatter.. and so long as a post has some flying content it was fine.. Just because some nutter on another board got in a snit why should we change what we do..
I did wonder earlier whether having an anonymous BG Id as well as your personal one might protect the BG's from the abuse they have hurled at them when expressing their opinions.. I know the siggys say the content of the posts is your own not the opinion of the site owners but it seems to be happening all the more frequently that BG's are being persecuted for their position and opinion.. that was what I meant by my earlier post on the dark side.. not that you shouldn't be allowed to have an opinion.
And I think almost everyone on this site is an opinionated pig-headed so-and-so.. and I am definitely included in that! What a boring place it would be if we all had the same thoughts.
Now, Stop being such a drama queen.. you let too many people bother you with their nattering.. if we want you to shut up we will tell you.. ok?
So, shut up and go to polish your chickens!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
