    [STRIKE]Morning[/STRIKE] oops afternoon

Finished flying yesterday before our friends arrived but too much to list. Had a lovely night and they stayed over so we didnt end up going to bed until 2am so of course this morning I am shattered. I didnt drink very much at all but feel carp this morning, headache and stomach is churning somersaults, hope its not a bug as I have to be at work at 230 this afternoon and so far all I want to do is sleep. I need to sort out if DS is home for dinner with his GF as if so he is cooking it :rotfl: and I need to go and see if the washing that I threw on the line at some point this morning is dry and put some more out, and one of the guys at work wanted me to make a cake for him as its his birthday, somehow I dont think it will happen.

Hope everyone is ok, nice to see you back soappie.

    Love and hugs to all
    Kaz x

  • Morning all. Sorry to diss the concrete cows, lamewolf.

Been to church, where DD2 was desperately badly behaved. Wm on and everything in disarray. Also both DDs driving me demented.

Looking forward to going back to work, frankly!
Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x

G&B - thanks, I've added it to my favourites and will have a look next time England are playing. It may take some careful planning, as I spent most of the match last night in the kitchen, sorting food.
Kazm - for DS1's birthday I bought some profiteroles with Bailey's cream and stuck candles in. For DS2 I baked a tray of brownies, cut it in pieces and wrote 'Happy Birthday' in icing, one letter per brownie. Both were very happy with their cake alternatives. I'm sure the candles would work in rice crispie buns, too, and 'Happy Birthday' on biscuits or similar.
LW - glad you had a nice day out.
toots - you deserved to have a lovely time and I'm glad it's worked out well.
Dusty - hope you feel better soon and the swelling goes down.
wilf - wow, that's some list!

I didn't get busy, but went back to bed instead. I really didn't sleep well last night and was just too tired. Feel better now, but will have to shift myself for the rest of the day to get enough done. First job will be to make sure DS1 gets started on his 3 jobs, then laundry and a bit of time in each room. Oh, and food.

Thanks MrsChaos, I think a tray bake might be the answer. I have a value cake mix and some chocolate coating stuff, not wuite old style but will keep Rich happy. Must go get on, and find out what DS is doing.

Back later tonight so prob on new fred.

PS welcome andrealm and thanks for sticking up for us

we went to whatshere.aspcentertainment- a mall of indulgences really, cinema, bowling and many eateries.
we ate at some Bella Italia (almost empty) sat is the car (well his) cos someone *rolleyes* (it was me;)) *roll eyes* wanted to know the footy result and we had a bit of time before the movie.

Some girls in the (almost empty) cinema were yelling across to each othe about the footy (strangely there were VERY few men about) and he asked them, politely, to be quiet...

Cut to shocked/impressed face of me as it was unexpected - having been with wimps before who were too disinclined to cause a fuss...

and then we made out in my car LOL
    an

and we're supposed to be seeing each other again!:T:T:T
and two items sold on ebay and DD sold her Ikea mirror for £3.00 at the boot sale:T:T:T:T

Am I alone in thinking it is best to stay well away from the dark side? Does it matter what some faceless person thinks? The more we respond the more they will prod. Resist the temptation and it will just go away. I can't read it becusae I have most of them on ignore already :p. I get bored of dealing with pointless conflict at work, never mind on here. I personally don't give a monkeys what anyone else thinks - this thread works for me.

    Off to eat cake :D.

lol, i'm steadfastly ignoring most of the tripe being posted down there. I don't care if they think we're 'sad' or whatever. I like our little community up here, for me it's not so much about the housework, it's about the fantastic support that everyone receives. It doesn't matter who you are or why you are here - everyone is treated the same and welcomed without question. When one of us has a problem or needs help, the flyladies come to the rescue, sometimes on elephants but i think the less said about that the better:rotfl:Like smurfs, there is a flylady for every occassion;)
I'm proud to be part of flylady and boo hiss to all the doubters:A
