    thanks G&B xx
easy seen they havent tried it or know anything about what we achieve here - sad for them - and sad that people are so judgemental about something they dont like/agree with/ havent tried/ cant see the point of/ of whatever reason they quote. Why cant people just get on with their lives and let others do the same - if this thread is not for them then so be it - nobody is forcing them to come here - we all do what we want in life but I wish others would just live and let live in peace.

ok I am off to bed - will have a mega list this week so had better get some rest

    night night all
    toots xx
    Peace will be mine
could do better - must try harder

I'm also looking for a gite for our holiday - have pretty much decided to try Lorraine this year. Sounds very rural, yet with good places to shop, lots to visit, and sporty-watery things for the teens. Near enough to pop into Luxembourg or Germany too.

I'm sure you'll love it. It's a long time since I was there (German side of the border, but we ventured across a few times) and I remember how beautiful it was.

In the olden days, if a crib wasn't to hand, they would take a drawer out of the tallboy and nestle the babe in that. Whilst a proper crib is nice to have, it's not ACTUALLY essential :p:p

Glad the funeral has been able to take place. Put your feet up, please.

  • I'm back from my jolly up to Milton Keynes. Had a tutorial soo tedious I could feel myself aging as I sat there. I am sure the tutor was a very competent violinist 70 years ago, but you can't give a tutorial on computer analysis of sound with a laptop you can never get working, where you don't explain anything and click through the bits we want to see saying 'no time for that now' and going onto stuff we are perfectly capable of reading on the assessment instructions!

But the next session was BRILLIANT. A top notch recording studio, a very sweet French guy in charge and nobody volunteered to operate the mixing console.

So I did it for the whole session. 5 channels, following a script, sound effects, setting the levels myself - spotting a mic problem by ear rather than visually (where it had slipped), counting people in, the lot. I loved it.

I have no idea whether they were just being nice (probably), but a couple of people who have studio experience told me within seconds of sitting down, I looked and sounded just like an engineer. :D:D:D

I wish I could do it all again!

Got back to find the place still nice and sparkly and the cats were actually pleased to see me - although that may have something to do with it being 10 minutes after dinner time!
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

I thought about posting on there after a quick look, but resisted the temptation and I haven't been back to look at that thread since. I'm with hex on this one. Can I come for some cake? :D

I have some strawberry cream sponge and chocolate orange cranberry brownie left - feel free :D
    Think of it as promotion:D

Ooooh, AB's a Wannabe Flylady - send her the Welcome PM quickly :j

Soappie - I've updated my avatar in honour of all the "Stepford Wives" on here :T

Hex - I've avoided the silliness in tha Arms, too - like you I have too many of them on ignore, and if they think that threads on Big Brother are superior to this one, they're sorely misguided :D
