Took him a chocolate orange and a nice card, as it was our 49th anniversary today!!!!

Congratulations! It can't have been an easy day for you, so here's a hug, just in case. Dementia is probably many people's worst nightmare and it must take huge amounts of strength for you to cope.

No flying here today, but I have finally started to put a budget together, as my finances are decidedly strained for the second month running. I've overpaid on the mortgage in the past, so I'll phone them tomorrow and ask if I can have a 2-month payment holiday to get me back on track. It won't help me in the next two weeks (unless they can refund this month's payment), but at least it will stop this situation from occuring again and get us through the holiday, which is (un)fortunately already booked. We only need money for activities/spending money, though, as everything else is paid for. Anyone tried a low-cost self-catering holiday in Paris? DS1 will have to fill up on bread...

I'm going to look for the source of the unpleasant smell in the kitchen and do some work before bed. Good night! x

    Good evening all

Will probably be my last post of this week as we are away straight after work/school tomorrow. Obviously this is completely boring and non relevant to anyone else but us but I wanted to put it so there :p

Oh no I am really interested can you make sure you do a list for me of the countdown between now and when you leave as I obviously don't have a life :rotfl:and apparently because I need a list to help me clean I must have a mental illness - patronizing was that sorry if that is not the correct word to use

"The only place for such detail is if people lack motivation through mental illness and need a gentle helping hand.

Dare I admit it after some of the posts elsewhere I haven't done any lists this week as I have been bogged down with paperwork and need to get my accounts done so my just lurk for the next couple of weeks. Although I have managed to declutter some birthday cake and tomorrow will be decluttering a bottle of Baileys one of my mindees gave me for my birthday today.

May be I need to have a list telling me to do my accounts as well. :rotfl::rotfl:

night Night ladies and Gent (if he is still here and an Honorary Stepford Wife)

    New list.
    1. switch off computer
    2.turn off tv
    3. go to bed
    4. sweet dreams everyone

    Morning All

:bdaycake:Happy Birthday for yesterday nannyboo - I'm sorry I didn't get on yesterday to send you good wishes then as I knew it was your birthday and I hadn't forgotten.

I was supposed to going to work on my bike today but I don't think I will as I've got a cough and a cold and the cough's driving me a bit mad at the moment - not sure I've got enough puff to get there if I decide to have a coughing fit on the way!

Just going to do a HHI and then wash some dishes and see where I go from there.

    Have a good day all

    Hugs

    Morning all

Hope everybody is well and best wishes to all those who are under the weather.
All this talk of exams makes me very nervy. DS is only in Yr10 but he's got a few exams before they break up - history which he's good at and chemistry which draws that sort of blank response that makes me realise I need to get a bit of grip on this before next year! Very best wishes to all flykids who are doing exams this year!

This is my list for today - toy sorting mainly as the the garden is very wet!!

Thursday - Bathroom and Study/Pc Area
    Level One
    Clean floors in these rooms

    Level Two

    Clear any clutter from desk
Dust PC and desk and wipe off those cup rings!!
Wipe keyboard, house phone, sockets, switches and mouse etc
    Level Three

delete 10 dead/unused links from your favourites!

Friday- those frightening kids rooms and spare rooms
    Level One
Clear away anything that isn't in it's place, clothes, toys, books etc
Spend at least half an hour doing something for yourself!!!!! paint your nails, make an appointment to have your hair done, a lovely soak in the bath.. whatever you feel like!! I'm having my nails done this morning as usual
    Level Two
    Vacuum the floor
Dusting.. all those shelves and flat fluffy surfaces!! Don’t forget the light shade and curtain pole!!!

    Level Three
    Clean 2 windows

Wipe any sticky marks off walls and doors
    Extras

    1. Wipe the radiators, skirtings and window & door frames!
    2. Sort through one box or toys.. if you have no children find a box of junk.. is there anything that needs to go?
    3. End of week fling!! grab a binbag and fill it with stuff to leave the house.. rubbish or charity shop or to donate to a friend!

    Happy birthday for yesterday nannyboo1!:bdaycake:
August Shopping Challenge. 26/8. Budget £250 Spent £256.81.. £6.81 over. So £0.00 a day left.
