BL -We are all allowed treats now and then and especially when you have been so busy recently and its a friday night, and if its homemade shepherds pie my guess is that it was 'proper' food -if you know what I mean, so not really bad for you at all.

And I'm sure it was much better than my 'treat' which was hm chocolate mousse (although actually it was mommade not me-made - but I'm informed it didn't have any sugar in it (well aside from what was in the dark chocolate bars that went into making the mousse :o)

Yeah I know you're right Tixy - I have been very good so I suppose it's not that bad. It's just that I don't want to get back into old habits. I didn't have that much weight to lose but it gets harder to lose as you get older. Also I have had eating disorder problems in the past so I have to try and be strict with myself or I might end up going back down that road which isn't good. The mousse sounds yummy though:)

Good evening all! handy - Fingers crossed for MIL.

Yes, everyone, where is Allie? You can tell her that I too have been doing the wiggle today. Not so much because it's Friday, but because 6kgs of ginger tom cat reached up and sank ten sharp claws into my buttocks.

Hi all, handy here. I've just been shopping for some fresh food. Got a
B-B-Q pack for one that has to be used today. Lit the Bar-B and guess what its now persisting it down.

MIL is holding her own today, they have started a transfusion as she is so anemic, (always thought that was a short Irishman). So we still have to wait and keep fingers crossed.

Has anyone heard how Miss Niddy is doing. I saw the post next door, Its always worse when kids get ill. I left a PM to let him know that we are thinking of them.

Well its waterproof time, like the good money saver I am I intend to have that Bar-B. Besides I'm flippin starvin!:rotfl::rotfl:

    Catch you later. Cheers, handy.

    Honeeey....I'm home!!!!!!!!! :D

Excellent job on the wiggling everyone, thanks for keeping it going whilst I was gone! Will catch up on all other posts later on :)

Been having interwobble problems again  - big tree fell over little stone hut where phone exchange is (same exchange for both my parents and my OH)...the big tree won funnily enough so we've had no phone or interwobble for what feels like a year plus iv been on an away course at work so couldnt even get online there - most inconvenient timing and i did try and reschedule but work said no! Luckily got interwobble back this evening (I logged online as soon as man with the van left the little stone hut although he said lines wouldnt be up until midnight......:D:D so im back but wont be posting much in case the connection goes again!

But all is well in AllieLand, little stone hut not looking its best though!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

ps - weathers been rubbish here, heavy rain and strong gales for the last few days :(

Is your auction really local to you 3dogs? What is it classed as - a general auction or a baliffs auction or something (obv its not an antiques auction and they are the only sort I've ever been to). I don't know what to search for to find a local one to me

The main auction we go to is in town, only 6 miles from us, so very handy. No not you Handy! It's a general household auction and they also do plants, flowers & fruit in the other hall. We are lucky in that there are 2 next door to each other, both doing general and plants. Our's doesn't do bailifffs gear, but we sometimes go to one that does bailiffs and Police gear - can get some interesting pieces there I can tell you!! I got my Miele Tumble Dryer at that one, for £30 quid or so and it is fantastic - top of the range. We also occassionally go to village hall auctions - more social than anything

I would just look under auctions and then check their web-site if they have one to see what they sell. I was meaning to say to you, why not check if you have an auction nearby. Remember to add on commission to the price.

We have a New Zealand wool very large rug which we got for £5, a gateleg table and chairs for £6, wardrobes for a few quid, chests of drawers for about £3 or £5, bookcase for £3, and we got several High Armchairs for my Mam for between £2 and £26. I would never buy new again. After all, you can change your style whenever you wish, when replacements come up at auction.

Do you guys know about Niddy's daughter? She is very ill in hospital - see Nid's thread
