Just checking in and have caught up on the thread - all those cakes and pastries had me drooling, especially the custard slice - yum yum yum

Called in at dentist with registration form and hubbie now has an appointment for Monday morning - he says he is OK about going - we'll see !! The swelling seemed bigger today than last night, but pain is less - he sends his thanks for all the good wishes

I'm feeling a lot brighter today, don't know why the difference

I got quite a few items on eBay yesterday but haven't started yet today - just got to ring me Mam (I ring her every night about this time) and do us something to eat, then I'll get a few bits on if I can

Will check in tommorow - bye for now

    Hello All :hello:

Hope you have all had a good day.

Erme - glad your leg is getting better.

3Dogs - good to hear you're feeling brighter today and that Mr 3Dogs isn't in so much pain.

Handy - love the dca memo:rotfl::rotfl:Hope MIL is OK, it's good they're getting some fluids into her maybe that will pick her up, best wishes too to Mrs H. The bit about lady H ringing the police cracked me up - who does she think she is, really they don't live in the real world do they:rotfl:

Geebee - thanks for the lovely cakes and drinks - you really do spoil us:T

Have finally got new router from 02 so hopefully won't have any more connection probs - we shall see:o OH has just bought a new monitor - 27'' it's massive - I don't like it I think it's too big (think he had a win on the gg's that he didn't divulge to me!) He says he had trouble reading the other screen but I don't know why he don't just get his eyes tested. At this rate before long we'll have a 52'' plasama monitor or something taking up a whole wall!!:o

Hi all, Hi Borassic. This is another Lady Hooray Blooper. This happened today @ 5.45 just as I was finishing work. I had to go up to the Hall to change Lord Hoorays designer Bath Plug. (True). I had asked Lady H to get me a roll of chicken wire from the Farm Supplies as the Deer and Rabbits are chewing at the overpriced mail order Rose Trees I planted in the Woods last winter.

I asked if she had ordered the wire. She said yes but that an old chap she met there had taken her to one side and told her in order to keep Deer, Badgers and Rabbits away from young plants, "Get your Gardener to Pee on them", "The smell of the urine will discourage them".

Now working outside you will appreciate handy has watered every tree in the woods at one time or another.

Lord Hooray sat silently in his chair in the corner, now he still has his sense of humour and enjoys a good leg pull or smutty joke.

I looked at her Ladyship and said as only a Half Jock Yorkie could, "So Mamm, You are giving me an order to Pish on your plants".:rotfl:

"Yes Handy" she said "It will even stop the Badgers". That's OK then said I. As I was leaving the sitting room I said softly, but just loud enough to be heard, Its hasn't stopped the Badgers coming through the hole in the hedge yet.

As I got to the door there was silence from her Ladyship and an explosive Guffaw from Lord H.:rotfl:

There is poetic Justice in this story, I will leave you to think about it.

    Cheers all, handy.:)

Hi Swany, you must be in one of the few places that isn't having a Storm tonight. Down here its a force 5 sou wester straight of the channel.

:jGood News about MIL, she is now just on a glucose drip, and has had 2 bowls of build up soup (320 KCals per serving) today. Two early to call yet but things are a little brighter, now if only I can get a can of Murphy's  smuggled into her (favorite tipple - especially when someone else is buying).:rotfl::rotfl:

    Good news about MIL Handy.

I don't drink fizzy pop, only as a mixer. But I've been thinking ever since they brought out alcoholic ginger beer that I could just pour that in my whisky instead.

I'm back from a meeting, and I've been bad and ordered a pizza, it's too late and I'm too tired to cook. In future I'll eat before going. I'll do a bit extra on the pedal exerciser to make up for it.

I can't believe it's still thundering and lightening, I thought it'd have blown itself out by now.

I love the reaction to eating plums!
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.
