    Update on the dress:

The lady wanted £30 (cost her about £80) but hubbie wasn't quite sure that it would fit me (though he thought she looked about the same shape as me!!) and did not want to spend that on something I might not even like, so he got her down to £18 - it is scarlet red, satiny, strapless with part-boned embroidered bodice, full-length and has an underskirt with flounce of stiffener around at knee height - and I was amazed when it fit me, more or less despite being a size 18. Now, I know that will still sound big to most of you, but when you have been a size 26/28, and even then some things did not fit, it seems likkle to me - thank God for losing 4 stone. I certainly can't get away with bra-less, so I will have to find an appropriate strapless bra (I need one anyway for the other posh frock I bought a couple of weeks ago anyway)

What with the couple of skirts, and loads more tops, I've bought over the last two weeks (all at car boot/charity shops - total cost less than £10) all I've got to get is sandalls for day time (seen some £14.99 at shop that takes Love2Sh*p vouchers and I have £15 vouchers to hand courtesy of Tol*na) and some dressy shoes for evening (seen some at Asd* for about the same money, and then that is me sorted for the holiday (oh, and that new bra). Hubbie still needs a pair of trousers and I think that is him all done too - though I keep picking up lovely shirts for him for 50p each!!

Ugh, too hot. I've been asleep all day, I think it's because of the heat.

3Dogs, the dress sounds gorgeous! How have you managed to lose so much weight? I need to lose an embarrassing number of stones.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

He actually asked the girl on the stall "do you think that dress will fit me?" - she looked a bit taken aback and shouted for her Ma, then she giggled

Don't be embarassed about it Ames - although I have lost 4 stones, I still have to lose about the same amount again !!!!!!! Hubbie and me joined Sl*mm*ng W*rld just over 2 years ago - he has lost 7 1/2 stone and is at target, and I lost just under 3 stone in 9 months but have taken me over a year to get to 4 stone last week, so it has not been easy. But to have given up, would have meant putting it all back on, plus more, which, to be brutal, my body could not have taken. Been there, done that, got too many XXXL t-shirts!! As you get older, you realise that you are running out of time for yet more chances

Anyway I love Sl*mm*ng W*rld - they teach you to eat a healthy diet which you can stick to for the rest of your life - you can eat so many things freely, and you do not have to go without anything, within reason - but in case I upset MSE Towers, I must add that there are other slimming plans available !!!!!!!
