Have just had this reply from PR Co.
Celia
We’d like to apologise for any distress caused by Sunday’s technical error. It has now been fully rectified and security of personal information has been upgraded and secured.
We take your personal security very seriously and we have taken the site offline to run thorough checks.
We have been making a number of changes to the site to improve its performance and to improve your experience.
We hope that you stay with us.
Best wishes
The Love That Wine team

Looking at the cache dates this information has been public since 10th May, nearly 1 month and possibly much longer. It's not just a weekend technical error as they are making out.0 -
It will be interesting to see how the Information Commissioner responds. I found them very helpful when I telephoned them, but they do not appear to have any teeth when actually confronting the companies involved. I have complained to the ICO re non disclosure of info. The company involved told the ICO that the info was deleted and not disclosed to me as it was 'similar' to other personal data held!
Actually it wasn't similar at all and it is a massive hole in the DPA if data handlers are able to delete personal info, if the info, in the data handlers opinion, is similar to other info held. (In fact the data handler didn't delete the info, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to get hold of it! :rotfl:) Currently waiting for a response from the ICO.
Also the ICO has a horrendous backlog of work, so it may be many months indeed before they address any complaints about lovethatwine.'Now sir you tell me the world's changed

Rich enough to forget my name' Youngstown

Found this press release that seems to say they re-launched a new site around beginning of May. I'm just supposing, but maybe that is when whatever system errors happened and (perhaps) when details were displayed from.
I feel really bad for those people whose details have been compromised. I was one of the lucky ones who read an MSE warning before entering a comp. Hope this info about the press release may be helpful to you and your complaints are dealt with fairly and quickly.Wins include: Cushelle Koala Bear; signed Terry Pratchett book; tickets to Noisettes; Glenlivet Whisky; tickets to Henry Moore exhibition, Beyonce, ABBA world plus Red Letter Days Aston Martin driving experience. Still trying for holiday and car! Good luck everyone.0 -
Crikey this is terrible!!!!!!
I feel so sorry for everyone who has been affected
I got lucky this time because although I have an account, I must have forgotten to enter my personal details so my profile shows up blank. PHEW!!!!Thanks to everyone who posts comps, I love winning prizes big and small

I also received their standard 'fobbing off' email excuse (I won't call it an apology as it was not even addressed to me personally).
I expect this has been sent to everyone who emailed them about the problem. Thanks to all OP's your efforts are much appreciated :A0 -
