Hi Linedancerann - it's great to hear from you. Of course it's safe to come in - it always will be! I hope life is treating you well.
Jean - at least the curtains are up now. I still have to make most of ours, which I will have to do when we come back after our trip. It's really hot here, too - a lovely day.
Tootifrooti - I've only just started making jewellery so this is a whole new area for me. I thought it would be useful for Christmas presents because things like necklaces and so on will be nice and light for posting, and it's not too expensive to do.
I ordered from here
http://stores.ebay.co.uk/themakingshop a few weeks ago and the service was brilliant and the items very good prices, so I've just ordered from her again.
I have just placed my first order here http://stores.ebay.co.uk/lyndiescraftshop and it's on the way so I can't vouch for her yet! Both girls have excellent feedback ratings so I'm very confident that I've found two suppliers that I can keep using. One important word of advice, from experience now that I've made my first necklace: you will need to use 'jump rings' to attach beads and things. Order a 'jump ring opener' (I think I paid 99p) with your first order - this will save many a broken nail and your frustration! I'll post a photo of my first make in a minute.
Elaine - hope DS is on his way home, if not at home already, and that he is doing well.
Chalky - I hope you're OK? I've been thinking about you and your DH.
Pippa and ISOM - hope the mums are doing as well as can be expected today.
Well, I've actually finished wrapping up my mum's pressies - in between interruptions from DH - so that's another thing organised ready for our trip back to the UK.
HOpe everyone is having a good day.

To see Maytaurus' Squares.
Yes that's right I do collect Squares even though they might not be in the Challenges.
They willl all be so useful, thank you!
I can't make a slide show today for Maytaurus to showcase her beautiful squares. But if you want to pop over
to SIBOL tomorrow (keep checking) I will hopefully get them on. The loading to the blog is taking a mission I have had to
give up today.

Hmmm, posted a longish post at lunchtime.............but it`s gone, lost in the ether  Yes I know Maytaurus, I should have done it in Word first, consider my wrists smacked. Can only assume it was because I didn`t click on `remember me` when I signed in andmaybe took longer to write the post. Ah well......
Anyway it was just to let you know His Nibs is home and grumping already. I have a feeling that the next few weeks will be verrrrrry long and difficult with a lot of tongue biting on my part.
Chalky - it`s hard when you want to protect your chicks from harm and danger isn`t it ? You`ll still worry when they are older, just about different things. My Mum worried about me when I was 35 and got divorced, then again when I met my dear Jim, then when I was pregnant with DS and then DD (I was38 so an old mum at that time) and I`ll bet she`s somewhere watching just now and STILL worrying.
Never mind, with internet cafes popping up everywhere these days you`ll probably find lovely email adventures from exotic places in your inbox. Just remember to print off copies and keep them safe for her as a reminder of her trip, maybe a Gap year diary type of thing for a birthday or Christmas pressie once she gets home. Have a hug or two from me anyway.
Kathy - not many sleeps now, if you are sleeping that is. Probably the brain is working overtime, have I got eveything ready to pack, where`s my list of things to bring back, wool, tea, salad cream, wool, tomato sauce, wool......hehehe. Love the necklace by the way, very pretty colour.
Jean - well done with the curtains, better now than when the weather gets really cold. Oh, and tell the DH to leave the lead wellies off when he`s driving.
Can`t remember what else was in the original post so Hugs to anyone who needs one, especially those with poorly mums/ relatives and anyone going through tough times.
Time for bed as Zebedee said, night all.

Just popping in; mum home tomorrow after Ive seen consultant. Taken the day off so hoping he comes early as will be totally hacked off if I wait all day and then he comes.
hugs for you chalky...saying goodbye is horrible so at least that done and you can wait for tales of her adventures!
psso hope tummies are better and ds home soon!
Miol happy decorating; just chant it will be worth it!
F1 how are the resolutions going, or shouldnt I ask!
Kinsey heard from the lions recipient who is as chuffed with lion as I was and very thankful for all your expertise and hard work. Hope things ok your end.
Im ok but feel really tired and had a frustrating day with a nurse and then had to apologise - not her fault that consultant is vague and she got the net result of me trying to locate him for 2+ hours (ie tired and very hacked off)! Going to bed in a mo - not quite the early night Id planned!
Not a stitch of wooly stuff done this week but hope to remedy that at the weekend which will be quiet!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0 -
