Happy new year everyone hope you all had a nice time last night - to be honest it was like any other night in with the addition of the lovely Gary Barlow on the tv:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

chalky I hope the sporty one is better today and that he is not willing to share his germs with you xx

Ive sorted my stash and added it up and am now planning on what to do - I would like to do a bit more for gifts this year as well as charity knitting of course

I am on the hunt for a very very very simple cardigan for 18" chest and above - Im no good at sewing in sleeves so one done all in one would be great - one of the LH's charities is asking for bigger sized baby cardigans as thankfully the babies are being born bigger/healthier - I had a look on ravelry and could only see ones on circulars, picking up and knitting button bands or sewing on sleeves - I am awkward am I not :D none of the previous I can do and it would look like a dogs dinner once I had finished! if anyone has a tried and tested on I would very much appreciate a link xx

better be off this will never get my stash knitted up!

    Hugs to all xx

wishing this week would never end (DS returns to UK tomorrow) but at the same time I do wish I could catch up with everything!

Ye all have a terrific day - we have sunshine - ok so the fields are sodden and the dogs will just love to roll around in it all but I intend to enjoy it.

i have a Bedouin lurking around my house DS2 (and DD3) got the most gorgeous scarves for christmas. DS2 hardly takes his off and hes even googled and youtubed how to wear it in the traditional way so looks very sheiklike in it.

should do something but cant quite find the motivation yet.

    Hi everyone.

I hope you have all had a great start to the New Year. I can't believe it's 2014 already; where does all the time go?

Jean, those words are lovely; thank you for sharing them.

I will get the update done for the end of 2013, then start again, with Jean's brand new 2014 spready (thanks Jean) with any totals that have been posted since the 1st, then it will be, hopefully, updated every Monday. Well, that's the intention.

I have been invaded by visitors this week, and will be again tomorrow, but hope to get everything up to date on Saturday.

Hugs to you all, and special thoughts for all who are anxious or unwell.

Hello to one and all. Lovely words jean enjoy the rest of the special with your son.

mrs Moneypaennyscarves sound good. I hope your back gets better really soon. Pain is terrible.

f1 good luck with the pots in 2014 .

Kathy i hope your sister in laws leg is better and that Mum and your sister coped with Christmas and the New Year.

shaz I was so sorry to hear of your diagnosis. I hope the shock has worn off a bit now and you can see your way clear to how to cope with everything. Your Grandson sounds lovely.

Anakat Williams little fingers were so cosy in those hedgehog gloves.

psso lots of love to you as I am sure you have some difficult decisions to make in this New Year.

Lots of love to all our MIA's .. Hope the New Year is good for you all.

I am not one for resolutions. I have the breaking strain of a Mars Bar anyway but I have been doing some quiet thinking since the New Year.

I very much want to remain a part of this lovely group. I value our friendship, support, encouragement, fun and everything in between. I love being a part of your lives even if it is in a virtual sense.

Where am I going with all this whittering.
    1. I am useless at keeping totals. I don't think I have ever got it right.
    2. I suddenly seem to feel like stopping fast crocheting. I seem to have churned out so much with my hook that I need a change. I actually put my wool and hook away today ... Unheard of .But I had a comment on my blog today about a Monster Quilt I am hand sewing for William and it was spot on... It said " Enjoy your slow crafting" and I thought... that's it. That's what I want to do for now anyway.

    3. I never seek thanks at all but I sent off a big parcel to Greenfields with my email address and address on the card inside and I did not even receive an email to say it had arrived. I wonder if it did. Either way I felt sad about that.

    4. I think everyone is finding the cost of postage so annoying. All those pennies that could be spent on yarn.

So I have decided to have a little break whilst I sew lots of love into Williams quilt and after that I think I am going to craft for local charities that are dear to my heart . So many need so much.

I hope all this makes sense. I am sure no-one will miss me from the spreadsheet and I really do wish everyone well with all their Charity endeavours wherever they go.
Try and do a good deed every day.
