    Hi everyone.

Yes, Ginny, it would be the perfect gift if we can sell the house. I am missing the British Christmas big time this year, mainly because I thought we would be back home by now! Hope OH is having a good day today. DGS's song sounds like it was a wonderful moment that you will remember for ever.

It's has turned cold and windy here and bad weather is on the horizon, apparently, as it is for most of Europe, so I hope everyone stays warm and safe.

On the woolly front, I am crocheting a cover for a big jar that I want to put in the bathroom for my hairbrushes and combs; it makes a change from doing teddies and Attic 24's stars that I am making for next Christmas - now that really is starting Christmas early!

Jean, I hope DH and DS got back safely.

    Have good days, everyone!

  • twas far too late by the time the lads arrived to have a proper birthday yesterday - so I have had my second birthday today.... even managed to find the birthday cakes (yes there were at least two tins) Dear Wee Sis made for me - unfortunately it was after I had done pancakes and syrup for breakfast...... have just finished traditional Scottish dinner now of Steak pie, carrots, peas and mash - I do believe I shall need to diet for the rest of the year (he he not long then)

sending you all love and cuddles - off to see about yet another bit of birthday cake - well you have to after someone has made it for you.

having had a wonderful two day birthday - stuffed my face with cake, huge meals and tons of wine I awoke this morning to the news from DH that the chimney really did need sweeping...........GROAN......... this is one of those jobs we all hate but if it\s not done the whole house is encased in smoke!

So we have spent the morning sorting that little number and I am now faced with all the dusting, washing down and steam cleaning - the job is normally horrid but today it was three times as bad - its blowing a hooligan (yeah I do mean that) so DH couldn't go at it from the top down it all had to be done in the house - followed religiously by two dogs every time anyone went in or out...the floor is a proper state!

Boys have now gone off to do their "last minute shopping" so I get to do the huge clean up - then a shower and sorted with some yarn to enjoy a peaceful day ahead - LIKE THAT WILL EVER HAPPEN!

I hope you are all tucked up with pleasant jobs to do, fantastic company and a warm home with loved ones.

DGS's jumper is finished, luckily I had only one sleeve to do as I did most of it before we went away.
Crafty stuff will have to take a back seat for a while but it will be there waiting for me when things settle down again.

I will try and get back before the BIG day but if not I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year
Sending love to all Anne xx

I hope things get better for you Pippa.

Just looking out some yarn to take with me to BILs so I can get on with a hat. The scarf was finished last night.A fiend who works in a charity shop brought me lots of odd balls of yarn so I need to sort through them. Should be enough for lots of hats and scarves. There are no babies expected in the family next year -yet-so I can concentrate on other knitting.
