Stopped at Lidl's on the way to MIL's flat this morning, they have loads of sock wool and some lovely eyelash, I bought some rainbow cotton for little purses,(not that I needed any);) it was only 10.30 and most of the knitting needles and hooks had gone except for the real long needles and tiny hooks.
I have quite a few tiny crochet hooks if anyone wants any just shout :rotfl:
Having a late dinner today as we were late coming back from the hospital, things are'nt good, MIL does look a poor old soul.
have a good evening all

Hi everyone
Missymouse, welcome
ISOM, happy birthday, hope your mum gets sorted out properly soon. :bdaycake:
Chalky, what a great photo, you all look ready for a good time!
Mrs twins, the blankets are lovely, just my favourite kind of colours.
I got a new clover hook this week and it’s amazing. It really makes a difference to my fingers. Been to lidl, but resisted the wool. The overflow of my stash is now in my garden shed, must knit faster! Does anyone on here still use crochet cotton? I’ve been given some and have no idea what to do with it.
Love and hugs to everyone
Lisa

Hi everyone
ISOM - happy birthday for yesterday. I hope you had a great day and that your mum did, too.
Pippa - (((hugs))) to your MIL.
Don - good luck to you with the baby. Not long now, is it? My DS2 was due on Boxing Day but arrived three weeks early; needless to say, Christmas that year was one long panic!
Pol - I think I'll have to try the Clover hooks. Where did you get yours from?
Chalky - I expect your emotions are up in the air today, aren't they? I hope it's not too tearful a day for you.
F1widow - I can't think why my blog won't let you in. Have you managed to get into it before?
Well, I'm off to the UK a week today and I'm starting to get really excited now! DSD2 Skyped last night and little Summer was showing me all the toys she got for her birthday and some lovely new shoes that she is really proud of! I couldn't exist out here without Skype. It's a great way of keeping in touch but I can't wait to cuddle her for real!
I need to start packing, and I must also finish wrapping up mum's birthday presents. I still can't think what to get DS1 for his birthday next week - he loves his garden but there's not much choice of stuff here, so I may wait until we're back in the UK and get some things from one of the garden centres. I must also get some wine to take back, and the friends we stay with love the garlic here - it seems to last a lot longer than the garlic in the UK, so I must buy a big stalk for them. Besides the Big Wool Re-Stash, I'm hoping to do a bit of Christmas shopping in the UK - I find it really difficult here because there just isn't the choice that I'm used to back home.
Anyway, off to put the kettle on again. See you all later.

I did manage to see the whisper on the thread about Lidl having wool and mentioned it to my OH who said "Haven't you got enough already?"
But at 36 weeks pregnant, don't fancy driving myself many places right now so will just have to be content with my stash I suppose.
Have done a little preemie hat last night and am working on a body warmer just now.
Since I haven't kept up to date with what is needed (sorry!) is there anything in particular that needs knitted up right now?? - preferably just small projects though which I can do in between trips to the bathroom!BSC #215/No.1 Jan 09 Club0
