Pippa your blankets are beautiful, and I love the little purses you made, I am about to go and copy one as a wee gifty for a friend. If you have a look on my blog you will see my little dog cushion, DGS loved it, Im pleased to say, he doesnt really go for cuddly things but he unwrapped the doggy cushion and gave it a squeezy hug and and gave me a big smile :D

Aww thanks ginny, my DGS loves his dog cushion as well, he eats his dinner with it behind his back 'because its nice and soft to lean on nanny' he said. I took your advice about the stuffing and used a pillowcase to line it ;)
The little purses are nice and quick to do I always do a few for my DGD's school christmas fair

Ds and DDIL are celebrating their 4th anniversary today, and the sun is shining just as it was on their wedding day. Where has that time gone?

 Hello, still here but mostly lurking. I`ve gone back into hibernation `cos it`s soooo bloomin chilly here again.

We got one nice sunny day -still breezy though so didn`t get too carried away with the gardening -then back to cold rainy days.........and SNOW forecast but hopefully it will only fall on the hills. Very windy and heavy showers today so looks like an indoors day again.

Been catching up with the wips again. Took a load of stuff down to LH when we were at the knitting show so now I can see what`s what again. Finished sewing up a granny square blanket in shades of blue, in the middle of sewing up a shoulder wrap of pink and wine grannies and finally managed to master the hexagon jacket, so have done two. Not too happy with the way the sleeves were finished in the original pattern so have just `done my own thing` ;) Getting a bit brave at this crochet malarkey :rotfl:Now trying to get to grips with front and back posts and counting to four, for the basketweave blanket Jean showed me........forward one,two three four, back one, two, three, four. remember to stick my tongue out as it really helps to concentrate :p So Jean says anyway and who am I to argue ??

Hope she`s enjoying her holidays with DH in the pampervan. She was going to be having a bit of a busman`s holiday when she visited her son, he wants her to make new curtains for him so the wee machine will be smokin`.

Right, better go and do something productive I suppose. Put the washing on and fill the kettle while I`m there for a start anyway :D Coffee will follow soon after.

Hugs for poorlies or carers of poorlies and those with overflowing hands.

    xxx

Hi everyone; I thought I'd better pop in briefly. I have a horrid bug that has left me with a permanent headache, a stiff neck, and the shivers. I have no idea what it is but so far it has lasted around four days. I will come back on here when I'm better; at the moment it's hard to keep looking at the screen.

I'll do the update for this week when I do next week's.

    Take care, everyone.

Mioliere, hope you feel better soon, a dose of sunshine is needed for us all I think and it will blow all the bugs away too. Im freezing here but have a huge ball of Aran (£1.99) and a ball of peach DK for 75p bought from the CS to keep me busy so I will maybe knit a blanket to warm my tootsies.

Chalky hope the weather is good to you on Sunday, I bet it will be a warm sunny day and the flowers will all be out. I love the bunting on your blog and intend to add it to my list of 'things to make soon'. xx

Hubby on a day out with his minder spending a couple of hours fishing to take his mind off the next week or so of tests and stuff. To be honest I needed a day off to just pootle about.

Morning all, bright but still very breezy here today so the bed has been stripped, sheets in the machine and will go out for a blow soon. Will need lots of pegs on though I think.

Ginny, I can understand your need for a `day off` now and again.
I love my family dearly and will miss them when they eventually move out, but oh it`s soooooo nice to have the house to myself now and again. Peace and quiet is a rare thing in this house.

Mioliere - hope you feel better soon.
Chalky - will be thinking of you all on Sunday.
F1 - Is your `front door` stuck my dear ? ;) I see it hasn`t been opened for a while, or is LIFE just getting in the way ?

Well, the pink and wine grannies have been dealt with, all stitched up into a shoulder wrap for someone.

Had a sort through the stash agaaaaaiiin -I`m sure it all jumps out of the boxes and baskets when I`m not looking -and found a large ball of variegated yarn, so I`ll try the crochet basketweave blanket with it I think.

I`ll have to decide what to take with me on holiday as well,we`re going back to the same seaside cottage as last year. Must have 2 or 3 things with me as I get fed up easily and need to have alternatives handy. STILL haven`t finished the blanket I started there last year so that may be one of the holiday projects...........didn`t actually like the wool very much so that`s why it landed in the back of the cupboard when we came home.:(

Oh, washing machine has stopped so better go and hang out the sheets.

    Bye for now.
