Thank you all for your lovely words; they really do help. It seems that no-one escapes from life's worries, and just knowing that people are thinking of you when life is difficult makes all the difference.

Ginnyknit - I will keep you and your OH in my thoughts.

I'm currently trying to gee myself up to look at patterns and wool. I've always found knitting and crochet very soothing, and I know once I get going again I will be glad of it. This is one mojo that I want back asap.

Special, special love to all with such worrying things in their life right now. Kathy,Ginny, shaz the gentlest thoughts to you especially.

Thank you so much for all your kind thoughts yesterday. We were there by 7.30 a.m ... Yes me!!! And I went in for my op at 11.40 and I was third!!! However there was a child first and then a young lad with Downs so
I really didn't mind waiting cos they had to have general anaethestics. Of course all that waiting didmakethenerves a bit worse but if ever you have to have it done don't have a single worry. The op was amazing and today I feel like my whole world has been polished and buffed to super shiny standard. Amazing. Conversely the consultant said I was very unlucky to have a cataract at my age and even more unlucky I did not have two!!!!
Because she is pretty sure another one will appear at some point in the other eye and she would have done bothered and at the same time given me 20/20 vision. If she had made any correction to the actual sight in the eye I have had done I would have been left with dizziness etc as the brain would not have been able to cope with the imbalance in the eyes.
Well all that might be true but I am just ÜBER grateful that such wonderfulthingscan be done.

You lovely lot will be grateful that you will. No longer need a deciphering degree with my typo errors.

The family are coming for the weekend but I am under strict orders. No work. To be honest I am going to take every scrap of advice as this is too good to ruin with carelessness.

I will be thinking about. You all as things dose em so difficult right now . Please keep posting as I know we all need the wonderful support this thread provides.
    Love to all
Try and do a good deed every day.

Am so pleased for you Chalky and yes do as you are told - this from one who knows. I learned my lesson though and when i had my knee op did what they said and had no problems, apart from not being able to kneel down anymore, but not a scrap of pain or any locking in it anymore.

So does that mean a weekend of William? Im excited for you already :D Dgs was here yesterday and decided grandads jumper would suit him to a T! and grandads silly earflap hat that matches Michaels. He is giving random kisses at the moment and its lovely, also gets hold of my hand and kisses the back of it when we go to play in the back garden - you can never have too many kisses can you?

Hugs to all, hoping for a better day for you xxx

Well done, Chalky; I'm so pleased it went well and was so successful! I'm glad you will be following doctors' orders. I know a surgeon who said the NHS would be less busy if everyone did what they were told after surgery - took it easy. Many people try to run before they can walk, and I know it's tempting to try and get back to normal asap, but rest and taking it easy is the best prescription. I prescribe lots of pampering from DH and the family, and lots of William snuggles!

Ginnyknit - your DGS sounds delightful!

We have a gloriously warm and sunny day here today, which makes a real change from the last few weeks, so I am filling the washing line to make the most of it.

I will really try and get the update done over the weekend, once I've sorted out my browser problems, which I haven't done yet because I keep running out of time.

Chalky - I'm so pleased your op has gone well. Take care and rest for as long as it takes :)

There are so many people having hard times at the moment. I don't know all your circumstances, but I will be praying for all of you.

Sending lots and lots of hugs. x

Just got back from 3 days in the Lake District with DH. Went to see Pam Ayres - she was full of cold, but the show still went on, and she was brilliant :) I 'only' bought 5 balls of wool :o
