Things are not too bad here at the mo. OH seems on an even keel but rather forgetful, Im guessing its the meds.

Sibol blankets are ready to parcel up and next one started, so satisfying to do. Have a pile of stuuf for Africa and a small project for Bonnie Babies for Christmas which I have nearly finished. i still have a pile of dolls to put together that MUm has knitted but lacking the motivation to do them as they are fiddly.

Feeling a bit low the last couple of days maybe hormonal I guess but will pull myself together any minute. I really could do with a trip to the sea, I wish we lived down near you Chalky sounds lovely ...fresh crab.. yummy

Frustrating that we have so few wool shops around and the ones we do have don't seem to have any white DK which I use a lot of. I think I may have to resort to online ordering but I find for basics it works out quite expensive for basic wool.

    Hi all lovely waether
Ginnyknit - sorry that you don't feel great hope your feeling better soon - I understand you frustrations at no woolshop we have none here either and your right by the time you've paid postage it works out expensive - there are no markets etc here so no bargains - one charity shop sells (sometimes) new wool but it went from 1.49 to 2.49! Due to demand for it - take care and sending a big hug xx

    Chalky love the lappy xx

Roaming hope your "building " is going well x

Had better go only one more hour of peace and then my little romeo will be home already he has a small following of girls all very pretty and lovely girls - I don't know:eek:
If I don't get back in have a lovely weekend all xxx

I don't know if you have Wilkinsons near you, they do basic DK that washes and wears OK @ £1.35 per 100grms and you can order on line to pick up in the shop, so saving postage.:)

roaming, the wool hasnt arrived yet but I have a feeling its sat waiting in the Post office as my lovely postman is on his hols and the replacement doesnt seem to like carrying much - I have a few parcels due that seem somewhat late  Im guessing Postie will knock on the door with a sack full of stuff for me on his first day back!

Anakat, I have a Wilkies not to far away, fab idea getting it reserved, thank you. Our Age Concern shop has nice basic Dk but they don't
seem to be re-stocking and ran out of white.

Feeling much better, had DGS for a couple of hours so his Mummy and Daddy could nip to Primark and have a peaceful lunch. they are totally devoted to him but everyone needs a break.

Well its nearly weekend again, where is the time going???

    Morning all
    Beautiful day here again
OH said he is having a break from the kitchen...and I though O good we can go out somewhere, get him away from it all ...how wrong can one be... he has decided to mow the lawn !!!;)

anakat - Wilkinsons is a good idea I get quite a bit from there they do sell out quite quickly though, You have just reminded me I must check when the I.S Hats have to be in by, will go look next
f1 - thanks yes he is but he takes some slowing down I get a bit worried he will overdo it but there's no telling him...MEN...:rotfl:
chalky - we love Dartmouth caught the bus outside our caravan site last year on a lovely sunny day, had a bit of a wander when we got there then the 4 of us crammed onto a bench eating ice creams, we spent a happy hour chatting and watching the boats go up and down then toddled off for Lunch...ahhhh lovely
ginny - glad you're feeling a bit better now x Our CS's don't seem to have much wool and those that do are charging almost full price for it... We have a shop here called 'Smash and Grab' and the prices are reasonable, its James C Brett yarn £1:29-£1:39 for DK and £3:99 for Marble chunky, the range of colours is really good. 'BM Bargains' is a good shop as well there are a few of them dotted around.

Did a few little hats last night I fancied something that I didn't have to think too much about.

Enjoy your day's all whatever you decide to do :)
    Love to all

    :hello:
  • afternoon,
ive sort of agreed with my son to do another craft satall so it will be any crafted items really. at the mo im working on cross stitched key rings. but i plan on doing knitted tree decorations etc as well. im open to any ideas.
    thank you
most of the other stall holders are professional crafters that have proper stalls so i felt a bit out of my depth, but the stuff i had sold well - apart from the reindeer food that no one knew what it was and the kids were a bit old and street wise for it so i gave most of it to the primary for thier fete and the rest all the kiddies who live in my street got a bag each. new arrivals to the street were initally suspicious but ended up happy when i explained what it was and that it was free.

finished killing the trees so am out in the garden now to relax in the sun have a good weekend all

    Late call from me tonight.

Had a busy day catching up with the dreaded housew**k and 4 loads of washing, but at least it all got dried in the sunshine. For a change it wasn`t raining at all today.
Went to Lidl for some bits and bobs - which cost a lot more than planned naturally - maybe because DS came with me and picked up `extras`.

He picked up one of those big bags of daffy bulbs as he thought they would brighten up the garden in the springtime.
Told him once we got home that they WOULD HAVE TO BE PLANTED IMMEDIATELY as they would start to rot if they were left. I know they won`t but he doesn`t, and the job would have been put off until who knows when, if I hadn`t told a wee porky. ;) So he got out a long dibber thingummy and made the holes and his `assistant`, little J came along behind popping the bulbs into the holes and filling them in again and tramping them in. What a team. :T

Still on the hedgie addiction, almost reached the hundred mark I think. Boring blanket is still on the needles as well. I`m sorely tempted to rip it out and do something else, or maybe it will be consigned to the deep dark cupboard for a while........

Haven`t read back lately so will just send good wishes to all and loads of hugs to anyone who needs them.

    Bye for now.
