Hello all - phew its stuffy

mrs m - sending continued hoping thoughts your way that the little fighter will fight some more xx

I popped in just to tell you - although I feel a little guilty being so boyant when I know so many are poorly and have hands more than full at the moment:-

    1) The move IS going ahead on Friday - it was a bit touch and go but the couple are moving out to family as there home is not at all finished as they originally said it would be last week - I do feel guilty but I did suggest right in the beginning to the landlord that it would be better to wait but he said no they will be moved out long before the 1st

    2) and this is where I get really excited due to my nerves being in shreds this morning i decided to have my first attempt at crocheting (yes you heard correctly) a square together :j:j:j and it worked and it looks very neat (even if i do say so myself!) - my sewing squares together is awful so anything would be better than that but with more practice with my crochet hook im sure it will improve -

little things please little minds .........................

Hugs and lots of willing thoughts to all who need xx

please dont ever feel guilty about posting good news, im really pleased for you. :T its all part of the balance of the group that while we are there for each other in difficult and hard times we aso want to congratulate each other on successes and good fortune.
i would hate it if people stopped posting their good news for fear of upsetting others who are having a difficult itme. im feeling really down but not so down that i cant be pleased for someone else:grouphug:(slighty over familuar group hug) wish we had a less pervy hug smiley for such occasions

hope the weather stays kind the move goes well and well doe on picking up crochet so quickly, i crocheted my big squaes together on my settee blanket and that seemed a neater finish than my stitching

    Hellooo

I am in such a happy mood today been on the go for most of it, mainly catching up on the boring stuff but...I just turned the radio on and went from room to room doing a bit here and a bit there singing away (in my head only, as what it sounds like in there is not what comes out of my mouth believe me) :o did jump around a bit though (all that exercise must have shifted a lb or 2) then...suddenly the majority of it was done phew !!! except the ironing, I only had half a basket so I thought what the L and did it... so now I am feeling quite smug

f1 - well done on the self taught crochet :T and also on the move, it will be lovely having a "bit of grass" you can sit outside and practice your new skill :) and please don't feel guilty about good news, in here we all celebrate with the good and commiserate with the not so good
mrs-moneypenny - still sending a little prayer up for Lily I hope she turns the corner soon x
shaz - hope things are ok with you now
ginnyknit - sounds like a good time was had by all.... know what you mean sandy beaches are lovely its the aftermath that takes some sorting out :rotfl:
dpixie - hows the weeding going hope you're on the winning side
chalky - I liked doing the little angel clair bodywarmers the pattern was one of Mayflowers is that the one you have been doing?
jean - are you back in France yet? had a look on L/H and saw you at the show with psso, gaffer (lou) and lots of others some in very strange headgear :rotfl:
kathy - O your poor BIL as if he hasn't had enough. I hope things work out well for your Mum, these things take time but I am sure all will be well in the end, its just the unsettled bit inbetween times that is so hard x

Made myself a crochet sun hat over the last couple of nights, out of dishcloth cotton got a nice floppy brim, did it from a free pattern over on Rav. Will put a pic on tomorrow

Must go make OH a :coffee:so

    Mrs Moneypenny

I'm working on the update, but just have to post to say that all my thoughts and prayers are with dear little Lily. I am praying as hard as I can; she is such a determined little girl, and I hope you have some good news very soon.

    Hi everyone

Thanks again for your kind words about my mum. She's still being assessed by a care team that calls into her home. She has both my sisters keeping an eye on things. I shall phone this evening and find out if any decision has been made.

Well, I've just done the long-awaited update, which I hope you can find by clicking into Jean's name at the side of her posts, then going to her 'homepage'. I hope I've got everything right. This time, rather than handwrite all the totals, I copied and pasted them into Word, then printed them off, so I'm really hoping that that prevented any errors!

Shaz - on your running totals, I added the single bed blanket to the Emergency blankets, the teen jumper to the Oxfam jumpers, and the baby jumpers to the baby cardies. I hope that's OK with you.

Today is my first day for weeks without any pressing work to have to get done. I have a couple of things to do but there's no urgent deadline, so I'm catching up with other things that have been neglected. I really must do some dusting, some filing, and some sitting outside in the sun!

I hope the weather for you all is as good as it is here. It's glorious out there, and has been for quite a few days now.

Anyway, I shall love you and leave you for now. Hope you all have good days.

Just popping in to send lots of love to every single one on here--- Some can have the love for happy things and some can have the love for the gentle things they need just now!

I am in love with Little bodywarmers! I think I will try them with 4 ply when I return to the UK. Dk seems a bit bulky for such wee little people!

Just had a skype with William and he could do with knitting in 2x Chunky!!!
Try and do a good deed every day.

hi all - shish its gone humid and a funny colour in the sky - we escaped yesterdays storms but not sure we are not in for some today

kathy - I hope the news is positive about Mum today and that they can move forward quickly so as to get her the care she needs - let us know what happens xx I hope you have not been dashing about too much today as its a "work free" day - take care xx

chalky - I know exactly what you mean my lovely nephew was one last week and I swear there is more meat on his thigh than the half chicken my hbby brought home last week from aldi! he has just had his last lot of injections - he really is a character - my sister will say its Auntie J on the phone and you can hear him chattering away it sounds like ello ello ello - he holds the phone and all I hear is heavy breathing and as soon as he gives her the phone back he starts again - she says its me and he points upwards (Im not sure where he thinks I live!!!:rotfl:)and when we say bye on the phone he goes to the door and waves - and Im sure judging by the lovely photo of him last week on skype William is just as lovely and gorgeous xx

More boxes packed today - and am now starting the cleaning grrrrrrrr - windows done in the front - kitchen cupboards later - hairdresser coming soon - if i dont get it done soon they will mistake me for a queens guard with a bear skin on

Continuing thoughts of hope and hugs to all xx
